Director, Product Management - Shopping and E-Commerce

The Role:

As Minted’s Director of Shopping and Ecommerce you will be responsible for defining and building a premium shopping experience that supports all of Minted’s product lines and consumer segments.  Your focus will be on conveying the premium quality of our products, highlighting the role we play in consumer’s lives and exposing users to our new product lines.  

This is a vital leadership role.  Your PM team will oversee strategy, roadmap and execution the entire web and mobile commerce experience including features such as search, recommendations, navigation, pricing, promotions, and our landing pages.  You will partner closely with user experience, brand and marketing teams to transform our user experiences.  And you partner closely with business stakeholders and PMs to translate strategies into extensible platform capabilities that can be leveraged by all businesses, incorporating those into the core e-commerce roadmap and prioritizing accordingly.

We’re open to hiring in either San Francisco or remote. Our SF-based Product team has an in-person 3x a week schedule.

You Will:

  • Define and execute a vision and roadmap for Minted’s ecommerce shopping funnel that elevates the brand, drives conversion, and improves the consumer experience
  • Evangelize within product and broader organization relentless focus on customer-centric thinking and prioritization
  • Work with engineering to develop a service oriented platform to accelerate innovation and extend core abilities
  • Partner closely with GM’s to translate category-specific strategies into product strategies and roadmaps
  • Data-driven mindset guides strategy and priorities.  Develop a hypothesis-driven high velocity AB testing discipline.  Own, monitor, and manage site conversion metrics 
  • Work closely with engineering and user experience to develop and execute on the roadmap, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high quality delivery
  • Recruit, hire, and build a team of exceptional product managers
  • Work with analytics and user research to develop scalable process for monitoring and incorporating customer feedback
  • Understand where funnel-step conversion differs by category and partner with category PM’s to define and execute remediation strategies as needed

You Have:

  • 10+ years of product management experience in e-commerce or marketplace businesses with a specific focus on developing products for the consumer shopping experience
  • Technical, UX or MBA degree with previous experience in consulting (preferred)
  • 5+ years experience building and managing teams of great product managers
  • Proven capability to entirely own complex problems and deliver results regardless of impediments and resourcing
  • Strong usability and product marketing instincts; you can quickly identify challenges and opportunities with a given product or feature design
  • Superb analytical skills and ability to effectively use data to investigate and solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated an understanding of technology/architecture and effective partnership with engineering to identify technical solutions based on tradeoffs of user experience, technical debt, latency, scalability, reliability, time to market etc.
  • Project management skills: Ability to plan, set expectations, make and meet commitments. Provide structure, process and project management to cross-functional teams
  • Intense commitment to quality: Demonstrated focus on quality of product/customer experience and testing/debugging

Compensation:

The compensation range for the role applies to both employment offers and Minted employees actively working in the role. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees.

Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area $196,000 - $294,000 (Midpoint $245,000)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 1 - All non-SF CA, DC, NY - $180,320 - $270,480  (Midpoint $225,400)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 2 - Includes CO, IL, MA, MD, NJ, OR, RI, TX, VT, VA, WA - $166,600- $249,900 (Midpoint $208,250)
Geo Base Full Salary Range 3 - Includes AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, WI, WV, WY - $152,880 - $229,320 (Midpoint $191,100)

Regions outside of the US will be adjusted by location

This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and stock options.
