Role Overview
As a senior leader, you will be responsible for improving Coupang’s pricing operations that include processes for price determination, price monitoring and adjustments, market research and others. Your initiatives will include development of quality frameworks, SOP audits, policy reviews, process automation, tooling enhancements, process efficiency improvements, execution of market research projects. You will collect various data and collaborate with product, operational, engineering, catalog management and business teams within Coupang to find the fastest and most appropriate solutions for projects and ultimately improve consumer shopping experience.
What You Will Do
- Delivering programs to improve metrics related to effectiveness of processes supporting Coupang pricing strategy, including process improvement plans, modifications of existing policies and systems owned by various partners.
- Defining quality assurance frameworks, introducing practices for ensuring highest operational standards, and running operational audits.
- Analyzing data and conducting market research to identify pricing, retail and e-commerce trends that should translate to Coupang’s pricing strategy and operational processes.
- Introducing changes to operational processes and systems to improve operational efficiency, consumer experience, and support the organization’s growth and long-term goals.
- Collaborating with product, operational, engineering, business teams to establish and prioritize operational initiatives and prioritize them.
- Establishing and managing a team of operational experts to support the organization’s operational objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in operations-related roles.
- Possessing analytical skills and experience in analyzing and deriving insights from large datasets.
- Experience in tackling challenging issues, conducting deep dives into issues, identifying root causes, and proposing practical solutions.
- Experience in synthesizing information quickly, extracting key insights, and presenting insights to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple teams to deliver results within time and budget constraints.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and achieve outcomes effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in process excellence of pricing or catalog operations, including policy development, SOP definition, ensuring SLA adherence, defects detection, process tuning with automation
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning models, especially in the context of improving catalog, pricing and search operations.
- Knowledge of workflows related to improving algorithm model performance through machine learning.
