The Portfolio Operations team is accountable for driving transparent and consistent portfolio management practices to ensure the highest impact investments are prioritized.

We are seeking for a team player, self-starter who enjoys solving problems, using data to drive insights and make sound recommendations, influencing stakeholders to bring consistency and alignment, and who wants to successfully impact the future growth of Visa.

Job Description

This role will report to the Senior Director of Portfolio Operations and will help define and execute on product portfolio management practices and support planning and day-to-day portfolio management activities, in close partnership with the Product Management and Development teams for one Business Unit within the Global Product team.

Extensive experience in portfolio management, product development, product management, management consulting, or business strategy and operations is a plus.

  • Partner with Product and Technology Teams to ensure proper execution of quarterly planning is in place for necessary funding reviews and approvals
  • Lead and manage product portfolio funding processes with focus on calendar of events and required forms and templates are completed with the necessary details and accuracy
  • Manage a product portfolio prioritization framework to maximize return on portfolio investments
  • Partner with Product, Technology, and Finance to improve visibility into specific product portfolios to drive more transparency and accelerate real-time decisions related to technology capacity and priorities
  • Drive collaboration and alignment between key Global Product and Product Development stakeholders to ensure the right insights drive deeper discussions on portfolio health and competing priorities
  • Maintain and own portfolio level dashboards on portfolio health and ensure engagement with stakeholders for support, when required
  • Develop data-driven insights and recommendations that help prioritize portfolio management practices to accelerate Visa's growth
  • Ability to understand the portfolio investment data and drive new insights/trends to speed consumption and decision making for Leadership

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10 or more years’ experience working in portfolio management, or product development, product management, in addition to insight delivery with a proven record of creating business value from dataExperience in management consulting or business strategy and operations is a plus.
  • Experience in agile product development, preferably in the payments industry.
  • Strong financial background.
  • Experience with defining and implementing new processes.
  • Extraordinary analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise and impactful way turning research & hard numbers into compelling stories and useful strategic insights to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and achieving results, with an emphasis on how work is being accomplished.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence and guide a diverse customer audience in a matrixed environment, ranging from junior to executive level across product, finance and technical stakeholders and build credibility as a 'peer' with partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment self-motivated, self-managed, and results-oriented individual with the ability to 'roll up their sleeves' and handle concurrent projects.
  • Strong organizational skill, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
  • Advanced level of MS Office Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Experience preferred in JIRA Align, Power BI, Power Apps, Visio is a plus.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161,500 to 234,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
