Responsible for leading Planned Giving efforts with physicians, volunteers, staff, older grateful patients and others throughout the Medical Center. Includes goal to increase the number of planned donors to the Foundation, steward current donors, and increase long-term philanthropic revenues through the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospects and benefactors. Strategically plan and conscientiously implement efforts to: maximize long and short term fundraising from all sources as assigned; promote and coordinate the planned giving marketing program, including website updating. Provide stewardship to existing planned gift donors and mange other areas of development activity as assigned. This position assists in the capital campaign and solicit major gifts from individuals.

- Implements strategy for planned gifts program. Plans, budgets and timeliness for on-going marketing efforts, prospect identification and management and stewardship efforts for existing planned gift donors.
- Cultivates and solicits patient prospects for planned gifts individually and in coordination with volunteer leadership, physicians and trustees.
- Participates in long term planning to ensure consistency and growth of the planned giving program.
- Coordinates closely and assist with major gift efforts as related to planned giving.
- Coordinates with the Public Relations department on marketing pieces and the planned giving newsletter.
- Prepare articles for the donor magazine Patrons.
- Assists the financial department in providing an audit trail for planned gifts and to ensure appropriate stewardship of existing planned gifts.
- Updates donor notes and adds information into Raiser’s Edge the donor database for Torrance Memorial as necessary.
- Understands the department budget and is cost efficient in Foundation fundraising and daily operations.
- Discusses and gives presentations on the hospital’s Master Plan as it relates to fundraising as required.
- Attends all Torrance Memorial Medical Center fundraising events and encourage friends and new donors to attend and participate as well.
- Encourages, thanks, and recruits volunteers to become involved in our Foundation fundraising efforts.
- Represents Torrance Memorial Health Care Foundation in the highest of professional standards at all public and community events and meetings.
