As the Director, People Partners, EMEA, you will lead the People Partner team in providing strategic HR partnerships to the business leaders and their teams in the EMEA region and driving cross-functional leadership across the people team. You will lead the People Partner team in areas such as organisational design, employee relations, culture, and talent enablement to help Databricks' extraordinary growth. You will report to the Vice President, People Partners and will have People Partner responsibility for supporting over 10 countries across the EMEA region.

The impact you will have

  • Establish a partnership with senior leadership team members as a tenured People Partner and trusted coach that can guide important talent decisions and provide advice and expertise which are tailored for Databricks specific needs
  • Partner across departments to lead global programs within the region (including L&D programs, talent management activities, among others) to ensure local relevancy and compliance with local and regulatory employment considerations
  • Cross-collaborate with partner teams to design and manage programs in line with our company-wide commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Thought partnership with the wider People team to lead strategic regional alignment and prioritise people initiatives across the region
  • Guide the design of workforce plans and organisational development strategies to support our strategy, growth plans and operational goals in the region
  • Guide strategic impact with the business through organisational change and development programs, supporting leaders to plan for and address organisational design issues for success and scale
  • Partner with senior leadership and recruiting to develop hiring plans that support our goals and grow the business
  • Build the People Partner function in the region with a scalable structure to provide support in each of our geographies
  • Use data and insight to lead meaningful people initiatives
  • Oversee partnership with relevant EMEA works councils and employee unions 

What we look for

  • Experience delivering as a People Partner plus leadership experience
  • Experience working in a hyper-scale organisation with experience helping companies scale from 5000 to 7000+ employees
  • Use of HR analytics to generate insights and present findings back to the business
  • Experience building trusted executive relationships.
  • Experience creating and executing company-wide talent programs
  • Success in creating and implementing organisational design solutions
  • Knowledge of local employment requirements
