The Role:
Director - People Business Partner
In this role, you will be a regional site leader for the Ireland People Team and a Global Business Partner responsible for driving all people initiatives across the Technology division. You will utilize your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to support employee engagement and manage change, helping our organization retain motivated teams of employees. You will enjoy a varied role and a wide range of interactions. You will get exposure to many different aspects of the business and will help influence local and global People Team projects. This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, IRL and will report directly to the Dublin site Senior Vice President and the Global People Business Partner leader, based in the United States.
As part of the Global Business Partner team, you’ll:
- Regional HR Leader for Ireland location and core member of Dublin site leadership team
- Provide strategic People Business Partner support to 3 Senior Tech leaders and 400+ employees based across Europe, Asia, and the United States
- Active member on local Board of Directors / DBIS which includes preparing for and attending quarterly Board meetings (+QBR) and Statutory account meetings.
- Responsible for leading local People team which includes direct oversight of IRL based People Business Partner and regional oversight of Talent Acquisition Partner, People Operations Analyst.
- Help drive organization development, performance management, culture change, talent development, employee engagement, leadership, and learning & development across the business
- Implement the talent agenda through organizational design and optimization of human capital resources, including talent planning, assessment, and selection
- Drive the Total Rewards agenda including annual bonus and merit processes
- Provide oversight on critical internal employee relations issues, managing processes end-to-end
- Stay up to date on legislation changes to ensure the Company’s HR policies are compliant with Ireland / ISO standards and are aligned with best practice
- Maintain relationships with external vendors including benefits, pension plans and employment law
- Requires building strong, collaborative relationships across the organization
- Provide critical direction to senior stakeholders and all levels of employees
About You:
- 8+ years of broad Human Resources experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner (global experience preferred) and a leader
- Experience working with and supporting senior global leaders
- Bachelor’s degree required, CIPD certification preferred
- Strong operational experience preferred (recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, policy projects)
- Prior experience in US Multinational preferred (with a Tech based company is a plus)
- Ability to manage fluidity in a globally functionally matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of employment legislation is required
- Strong business acumen and the curiosity to understand the business like a pro
- Demonstrated success working across functional teams to drive results
- Experience working through change and ability to influence our leaders and team members to drive winning outcomes
- Comfortable providing feedback and using a coaching model to help people identify and resolve their challenges
- Experience with organization design and development, including restructuring and workforce changes.
- Must be data inspired with strong attention to accuracy, ability to analyze, identify key issues and prepare cogent recommendations
- Workday experience highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
