The Aura Brand team is seeking a highly motivated Director of Paid Media (Brand)  to own our top of funnel Paid Media program. 

In this new role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Brand Awareness driving media plans.  You’ll balance online channels with offline channels, trusted channels with emerging channels.  

You are a “big picture thinker” and have experience thinking strategically to build a media program that works cohesively to meet the goals of the Brand team. Equally important, you “obsess over the details” - and aren’t afraid to get scrappy and get involved in all aspects of the campaign planning - even the buying.

Day to Day:

  • You’ll make our existing media program stronger. We’ve got a great program in-market, but we always want to beat yesterday. On day one, you’ll immerse yourself in our current program and identify areas for optimization. You’ll recommend media tests we should consider,  new measurement approaches we should be taking, and new channels you think we should be in. 

  • You’ll plan, execute, and report against this new vision. 

    • You’ll align any recommendations against a key learning agenda.

    • You’ll bring these changes to life. Introducing new media properties that we need to partner with. 

    • You’ll measure & optimize as we go. 

    • You’ll track all budget shifts with the flow of the media activity. 

  • You’ll keep us all in the know with industry trends. You nerd out on Media trends & will always be the first to tell the team about a new platform we should be advertising on. 

  • You’ll collaborate cross functionally. 

    • While your focus will be on the top of funnel programs and Awareness driving initiatives, we know it’s only one piece of the puzzle.  You’ll partner with our Paid Acquisition team to ensure that we are adequately delivering new, qualified impressions that will help fuel their conversion focused program. 

    • You’ll collaborate with our communications team to ensure that any Earned tentpole communications are adequately supported by Paid (where applicable) 

  • You’ll maintain a positive attitude. You’re excited about joining the team at a time of immense growth. 

  • You have a strong attention to detail. 

What you bring to the table:

  • 8-10 years of experience in media planning, with experience in media buying. This includes having at least a high-level understanding and/or experience in Connected TV, Linear TV, Youtube, Print, OOH, and Social. 

  • Proven track record of developing successful media campaigns that drive Brand Awareness. 

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads & Meta. 

  • Experience building an in-house media capability is a plus.

Pay range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
