Director, Operations Data Delivery

Position Summary:
This role is for a strategic and dynamic Director of Operations Data Delivery to lead our data initiatives and drive innovation within our organization. This role will oversee a team of product owners dedicated to delivering high-quality data capabilities and services and engaging with senior leadership on innovative solutions.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and develop a team of product owners to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Establish clear performance metrics and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiative
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Organization and Operations to prioritize data initiatives and ensure timely delivery of data capabilities and services
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and drive professional growth
  • Define a Data Capability Roadmap in collaboration with Product and Operations teams and communicate the vision for data services and capabilities, ensuring they meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product owners to create and manage roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and consistent enterprise communication
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to drive product enhancements and innovation
  • Support the Data Services Product Owners in their stakeholder collaboration, empowering them in communication and collaboration efforts throughout organization
  • Partner with Senior Data Leadership on advancing the comprehensive data strategy in alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to create competitive advantages and enhance operational efficiency
  • Encourage experimentation and adoption of emerging data technologies and methodologies
  • Manage financial impact of design decisions and tracking cost-saving improvements in collaboration with Finance leadership
  • Oversee the established data governance practices in collaboration with senior data leadership to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Promote best practices in data management and analytics across the organization
  • Ensure adherence to data governance best practices, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Implement data management frameworks that promote transparency and accountability within data operations
  • Oversee data insights and reports to senior leadership, providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis
  • Monitor the progress of data initiatives, ensuring regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders are consistently and productively published
  • Foster relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance data capabilities and resources
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in managing product development cycles, from ideation to launch
  • Technical skills in SQL, NoSQL a plus
  • Proven leadership experience as demonstrated through historical work/achievements with a proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve project goals and deliverables

  • Excellent interpersonal, skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives
  • High comfort with client facing negotiation, accountability, and coordination
  • Solution oriented; identify and drive options for advancement in the event project obstacles are evident
  • Driver mentality with expectation to lead high profile outcomes
