This role will be sitting within the BrandBastion org, overseeing Workforce Operations at our subsidiary BrickBrands as well as working with People Management at BrandBastion;
1. You will be in charge of workforce operations & people management at BrickBrands: an org within BrandBastion with 100+ community managers across different time zones; overseeing recruitment, training and onboarding, scheduling and performance management. You will have 5 direct reports helping you across the different areas.
2. You will be in charge of People Management at BrandBastion working closely with CEO and leadership team on recruitment, onboarding and training practices, as well as culture building activities and performance management across the org.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team and Resource Management:
- Overseeing workforce planning, including scheduling, staffing, and workload distribution.
- Ensuring that the workforce is adequately resourced to meet business needs, including recruiting and setting up onboarding and training programs.
- Performance Management:
- Setting up and maintaining performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor individual and team productivity.
- Providing leadership in performance reviews, goal setting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Process Optimization:
- Streamlining workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Managing tools, platforms, or systems used by teams (e.g., workforce management software, communication tools).
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Working closely with leadership to align workforce strategy with company objectives.
- Collaborating with other departments like Customer Success, Sales, or Product to support workforce-related needs.
- Culture and Engagement:
- Fostering a strong company culture and ensuring team engagement, especially in remote or distributed settings.
- Implementing initiatives to improve team member satisfaction, retention, and well-being.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leveraging data and analytics to forecast workforce needs, measure team performance, and drive strategic decisions.
- Identifying trends and making recommendations to improve overall workforce efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing people, ideally in a remote or distributed setting.
- Expertise in workforce planning and scheduling
- Strong background in implementing and managing performance management systems and processes and setting up KPIs and using data to monitor, evaluate, and improve team performance.
- Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training talent.
- Experience developing and optimizing workflows to improve team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to handle workforce crises or conflicts, such as attrition spikes, underperformance, or scaling challenges.
