The Job
As the Director of Training and Professional Development, you will define and execute a comprehensive strategy to develop employees, enhance leadership capabilities, and foster organizational effectiveness. This role is critical in shaping a culture of continuous growth and innovation, aligning talent development initiatives with business goals, and building programs that meet the needs of today while preparing for the future.
You will lead efforts to design and implement learning programs, leadership development strategies, and change management frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. By working closely with leaders and teams across the organization, you will deliver impactful solutions, including career roadmaps, curriculum journeys (onboarding, readiness for promotion, ongoing development), compliance training, and tools to support team effectiveness. This role will manage one team member, drive cross-functional collaboration, and oversee program management of technical and functional training initiatives.

Learning, Leadership & Organization Development Strategy
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to deliver learning, leadership, and organizational development programs that align with business objectives and enhance employee experiences.
- Design and implement solutions such as career roadmaps, curriculum journeys (onboarding, leadership readiness, ongoing development), compliance training, and leadership development.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure programs address current challenges, drive measurable results, and deliver a strong return on investment.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously refine initiatives to meet evolving needs.
Organizational Development
- Develop a strategy and tools for team effectiveness, leadership coaching, and career roadmaps.
- Create frameworks for developmental assessments and facilitate their use across the organization.
- Design and implement structured approaches for change management, leadership during transitions, and communication strategies to ensure adoption of organizational initiatives.
- Evaluate and optimize the impact of organizational change strategies.
Leadership Development
- Design and execute leadership development programs and processes for all levels of leadership.
- Ensure leadership development initiatives build capabilities to meet current and future business needs.
- Integrate coaching, mentoring, and structured learning experiences into leadership development offerings.
Program Design and Implementation
- Identify training needs through job analysis, performance appraisals, career paths, and consultation with leaders.
- Create and manage an internal gig marketplace to support cross-functional development opportunities.
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of digital learning platforms to provide scalable and accessible training resources.
- Partner with people leaders to identify key skills for success and create development opportunities to build those skills.

Experience You’ll Need
- 10+ years of experience in learning and development, leadership development, or organizational development, with at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.
- Proven ability to design and scale programs in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations.
- Deep expertise in leadership development, change management, and coaching frameworks.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, including experience delivering Train the Trainer programs.
- Experience with digital learning platforms and leveraging technology for scalable solutions.
- Background in designing career development programs, onboarding experiences, and curriculum journeys.
- Familiarity with assessment tools for development and team effectiveness.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering high-impact programs on time and within budget.
