The role:
We are seeking a Director of Strategic Delivery and Operations with proven expertise in driving strategic digital transformation and operational optimization. This role will be key in advancing the organization’s efficiency, innovation, and overall performance by aligning technology and operations with our strategic business goals. The director will report directly to the VP of Delivery & Customer Success and will lead all Project Managers and Scrum Masters within the organization, ensuring seamless delivery and execution of transformation initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and evaluate technological and operational innovation opportunities, keeping the organization at the forefront of industry trends within the financial sector.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all areas of the organization, driving efficiency and high performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters, ensuring alignment with the transformation roadmap and delivery of key projects.
- Analyze key business processes, identify inefficiencies, and lead initiatives to optimize quality, speed, and cost.
- Implement and oversee Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies within both operational and technology teams to drive sustainable improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of technology solutions with operational processes.
- Serve as the strategic liaison between the organization, banks, and fintechs to foster strategic partnerships and collaborations that drive mutual growth.
- Understand the specific needs of the banking and fintech sectors, customizing solutions and services to meet their requirements.
- Oversee the execution of digital transformation projects, including the adoption of cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring that employees are well-trained and aligned with new tools and processes, facilitating smooth transitions to modern workflows.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, with a strong focus on delivery and the banking industry, ideally in core or digital banking.
- Proven experience managing complex projects and leading project managers with a focus on risk management and KPI tracking.
- Methodical approach to processes and a strong understanding of banking industry standards, regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on team development.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Extensive experience leading digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives, ideally within the financial services or technology sectors.
- Exceptional strategic leadership skills, with the ability to align technology and operations to meet business goals.
- Experience in implementing Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Deep understanding of the banking and fintech industries, including the technological trends that drive their growth.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong experience in emerging technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
