We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Software Delivery to lead the Software Delivery function within the Direct to Consumer (D2C) Engineering organization. This role is important to driving the quality, efficiency, and risk management of our software delivery processes. The Director will oversee three main functions: Quality Center of Excellence (CoE), Technical Program Management, and Tech Risk. You will have a background in quality transformation, program management, software engineering and risk mitigation. This position will report to the SVP of D2C Engineering.
You'll have opportunity to:
Lead the Quality CoE to lead quality transformation programs.
Define and implement the Quality Strategy for the organization.
Develop and implement quality platforms, tooling, and best practices.
Ensure the adoption and governance of quality standards across the organization.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in software quality.
Oversee the Technical Program Management function to ensure the delivery of software projects.
Coordinate teams to agree on project goals and deliverables.
Implement program management methodologies and tools.
Report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Establish and manage the Tech Risk responsibility to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks.
Develop risk management frameworks and processes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure risk mitigation strategies are integrated into the development lifecycle.
Monitor and report on risk metrics and trends to inform decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in Agile, Cloud and other modern technology practices and solutions preferred.
10+ years of experience in software engineering, quality assurance, program management, and risk management.
Experience leading large-scale quality transformation programs.
Experience leading both small and large teams.
Experience working in a matrix operating model.
Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Ability to work across time zones and with offshore teams.
Expertise in quality management frameworks and tools.
Proficiency in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Risk management and mitigation skills.
