As a Regional Director of Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving new business development and expanding our customer base. You will oversee a team of 8 enterprise sales representatives, focusing on acquiring new logos and achieving the team's $1M in annually recurring revenue (ARR) quota. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a high-performance sales culture and ensuring the team's success in new business acquisition.


Responsibilities:


  • Leadership and Management:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 8 enterprise sales reps.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer value.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Establish proper expectations for the team with respect to territory management, account management, activity levels, opportunity and funnel management, and CRM compliance; hold team accountable to those expectations
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the team's $1M ARR quota for new business development.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Appropriately manage the engagement of internal solutions architects, product specialists, and strategic partners to close sales opportunities
  • Maintain positive alignment between the team and other functional areas within the company (channel, marketing, product, sales operations, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Sales and Sales Operations to align team objectives with overall company goals.
  • Business Development:
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expand the company's customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the colocation and cloud managed services market.
  • Provide strategic input on areas including market competitiveness, compensation, pricing, and customer relationship strategies. 
  • Network within the market to build relationships and brand awareness
  • Participate in high-level sales meetings and presentations to support the sales team and successfully assist in closing revenue generating opportunities 
  • Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements:


  • Experience:
  • Proven track record of success in a sales leadership role within the colocation and cloud managed services industry.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of enterprise sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Build effective working partnerships with your LightEdge colleagues (channel partners, sales engineering, business value management, sales operations, customer first and many more globally) with humility and enthusiasm.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • You will have 10+ years of a consistent track record of employment with direct field sales experience developing net new logos selling enterprise cloud managed services
  • 5+ years of high-level management experience of 6-8 direct reports in a fast paced, high-reaching, ever-changing sales environment
  • You have previous experience utilizing partners, channels, and alliances to sell more successfully and overachieve your quota.
  •  You have a demonstrated track record in new business development and overachieving sales targets.
  • Extensive experience negotiating large 7 figure deals with extremely complex terms, conditions, price pressures and considerations
