Director of Sales & Key Accounts (Canada) will lead the relationship & strategy development for Key Accounts and also lead the direct sales team for Canada and will be accountable for achieving the business development & sales objectives in line the company strategy for growth and customer relationship.
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationship with customers built on key account management principles and accordingly develop and execute the market specific business development & sales strategies to deliver commercial growth for Carbon Clean.
You will also be responsible to collaborate and coordinate with other internal stakeholders to effectively implement the strategy to achieve the goals for the geography.
Your key focus will be, for Canada :
- Key Account Management: Implement key account management principles of Carbon Clean.
- Customer’s Relationship: Build and maintain the customer relationships and maintain deep understanding of customers orgnaization, requirements and pro-cement process.
- Customer’s Voice: Be the voice of customer within Carbon Clean.
- Market Intelligence: Keeping track of the competition active in the assigned region, collect market intelligence and share with other internal stakeholders.
- Sales Targets: Achieving assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
- Strategies: Develop go-to-market strategies and lead the direct sales team for the region to implement them to achieve business objectives.
- Clear responsibility: Full responsibility for closing sales deals, short term business development initiatives and key strategic accounts.
- Focus: Review and qualify the opportunity pipeline based on proven methodologies (like Sandler) and prioritise accounts & opportunities for pursuit.
- Lead the team: Guide and lead the Sales Managers to implement sales prospecting strategy and develop territory plans.
- Marketing: Effectively leverage the company marketing initiatives and collateral (email campaigns, webinars, handouts, demo's, and other material) and successfully engage new potential customers.
- Collaboration: Work with the engineering team to develop technical and business requirements in alignment with qualified opportunities.
- Hunger for excellence: As a key member of Customer Growth team, provide inputs to continuously improve the process and operations of the functions.
- Customer Focus: Guide the proposals team to develop detailed proposals that meet customer specific requirements and is submitted timely.
- Event Participation: As a key member of Customer Growth, represent the company at various external forums and events, as an ambassador of Carbon Clean and its core values.
- Forecasts: Provide accurate monthly and quarterly commercial projections forecasts.
- Data & reporting: Ensure that Carbon Clean’s CRM (i.e. HubSpot) is used efficiently by the team and kept up to date.

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
- An aptitude to develop strong relationships with the customers and fostering them through good and bad situations. Exemplary Key Account Manager.
- Customer centric mindset to reach at win-win solutions for customers and Carbon Clean.
- Commercially driven and results-oriented with a high degree of enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong capability to understand the cop any's products and its technologies and articulate the techno-commercial benefits and value proposition in alignment with customers needs.
- Excellent communication and public speaking ability.
- Significant and proven experience of scaling-up equipment sales business.
- Knowledge and network within heavy industries, such as oil & gas, steel, cement, chemicals, engineering design is highly desired
- Ability to lead teams through influence and expertise.
- Experience of selling, shaping, negotiating and closing large scale deals.
- Experienced in prospecting, negotiating, and closing enterprise sales.
- Very strong interpersonal skills, organisational agility and well-developed influencing skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities to lead the team with potential to grow further into the company.
- Commitment to achieving the results with an innate ability to not give up.
