Title: Director of Revenue Planning

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type: Full-Time (Exempt)

About the Role:  

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Director of Revenue Planning to oversee our retail operations and drive growth. In this role, you will set and manage budgets at both the dispensary and state levels while developing and implementing innovative retail strategies related to promotions, pricing, and product assortment. A key aspect of this position includes managing all inventory, ensuring optimal cost, product mix, and identifying expiring items.

What You’ll Do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving retail business KPIs, such as revenue, margin, customer traffic, and vertical penetration. You will lead and develop a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers while delivering reporting and analysis that supports cross-functional retail business initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for retail strategy and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities include conducting weekly and monthly reviews with senior leadership teams, facilitating forecasting demand plans, and tracking product/SKU performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, compliance, operations, and third-party MSO teams to ensure success in both new store and new market launches. Additionally, you will play an instrumental role in project implementation for ERP systems and other integrations.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in retail planning, including inventory management, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong expertise in Excel and Tableau, with a solid understanding of retail industry trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative retail strategies, driving revenue, margin, and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Highly analytical, creative thinker with a passion for driving business growth and willingness to challenge existing processes to find better solutions.
