Overview
We’re excited to be looking for a Director of Production, Procurement, and Quality to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting to our COO, you'll fine-tune our procurement, factory production, and quality processes to ensure we deliver exceptional products at the best price and speed. What you’ll do
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize value, innovation, quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Oversee the global procurement process from purchase order to delivery, ensuring efficient and timely purchasing activities and on-time delivery of new products and replenishment.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure the highest quality product; oversee the greige/forecast to reduce lead times and improve payment terms.
- Qualify new suppliers and understand business requirements in different countries and categories.
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain with cross-functional partners and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimize disruptions to product flow.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure that all sourced materials and suppliers meet regulatory requirements and adhere to quality standards, including OEKO-TEX and other standards, as required.
- Lead a team of 7 through 3 direct reports; responsible for optimizing the purchasing and procurement, supplier and production management, and quality assurance processes through personal and professional development and growth.
We're looking for someone who brings
- 10+ years of procurement experience; home goods or fashion experience is strongly preferred!
- 5+ years of people leadership experience; proven track record of building and leading a team.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PO Management systems.
- Excellent analytical and mathematics skills.
- Adept negotiation skills.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong business acumen to direct well-defined processes that can be standardized and improve visibility.
- A sense of urgency and personal ownership of performance with the ability to work through barriers and challenges to deliver results.
Compensation & Benefits
At Brooklinen, our goal is to offer a competitive total compensation package which we determine based on specific market data taking into account our company size, stage, industry, and location. The base salary range for this role is between $150K - $162K.
Beyond base salary, we contribute significantly to offset the cost of health benefits, provide a financial stipend through Carrot Fertility to help with the costs associated with the fertility journey, offer a 401K with a 4% Safe Harbour match, have commuter benefits, and also provide a yearly product allowance.
We have 14 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for all new parents, year-long Summer Fridays, a workday that starts at 10 am, four weeks of vacation, and a one-month paid sabbatical at your 5th anniversary.
