We are looking to recruit a Director of Product Management. The Director of Product Management will focus on our SAI360’s Learning Technology Solutions used to develop innovative and leading-edge learning experiences for customers. Our Learning Technology platform includes a Learning Management System (LMS), Course and Content authoring tool and player, Course Analytics, Content Management System (CMS) and a Customer Engagement Portal. This individual will be a member of the Product organisation and lead the current product team overseeing the development and launch of all our Learning Technology solutions.  The Director of Product Management will work closely with the VP of Product Management and Chief Product Officer to define the strategy and roadmap to continually improve our current offering or bring new solutions to market.
 
This individual will be working in a fast-paced Agile development environment with various internal teams including, Software Developers, UI/UX Research/Design, Technical Writer, Product Owners, Product Marketing, Publishing Operations, Client Service Managers, Support Colleagues, and others.
 
The role requires an individual that is exceptional at product strategy, being inspirational, and understanding the long-term picture. At the same time, they are good at the operational side to make things happen.
 
The role requires the ability to work with a team based in the United States, Europe and India which may be outside standard work hours in your work location.

Key Responsibilities: 
Leadership
·        Direct management of Learning Technology Product Team compromising 1 Technical Product Manager and 1 Product Owner.
·        Build an exceptional team by coaching and enabling them to bring products to market.
·        Work with product managers and owners to remove roadblocks.
·        Improve current product development processes and practices in close partnership with Head of Development.
·        Influence cross-functional teams of Software Developers, Support and Product Marketing.
 
Product Management
·        Provide input into the overall Learning Technology strategy.
·        Create, assess, update, and communicate a Learning Technology roadmap to align with strategy, market, and customer needs.
·        Make informed decisions on roadmap initiatives based on overall GTM strategy and articulate the reasoning and benefits (including financial benefits) of those decisions to all stakeholders.
·        Prioritize features for roadmap initiatives and continuous improvement ideas usingmarket, competitor and buyer information and prioritization methodology such as RICE, ICE, MoSCoW, WSJF
·        Define and/or review epics, user stories and design for product roadmap initiatives. 
·        Drive the product design, execute, and deliver on Product roadmap initiatives in partnership with the Head of Development
·        Report on the progress of roadmap priorities to Senior Leadership
·        Ensure that appropriate quality assurance and testing is undertaken prior to Product release, specifically for major releases delivered to the customers.
·        In collaboration with Product Marketing, produce release plan and support the execution of releases.
·        Ensure that appropriate documentation is completed and released, for both internal and end-user purposes.
 
Market and Competitor Understanding
·        Review and understand market research data and the product’s overall go-to-market strategy.
·        Maintain an understanding of the competition, and how customers think of, buy and utilize the product.
·        Provide analysis and recommendations on emerging industry trends in combination with competitive knowledge to support the strategy for Learning Technology solutions.
·        Recommend priorities for improving product capabilities and overall product financial success in a highly competitive market.
 
Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Customer Support
·        Support Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Customer Support teams through product knowledge.
·        Partner with Product Marketing to ensure product messaging is correct and reflective of the capabilities of the product.
·        Participate in marketing promotion and internal communications, as required.
 
Stakeholder Management
·        Responsible for working with both business and technical stakeholders and team members to manage the SAI360 Learning Technology solutions on a global basis.
·        Act as liaison link between our customers, Sales, Client Services, and the development team for new feature requests, software enhancements, quality issues, new product releases and knowledge sharing of new features.
·        Work with external clients to develop and maintain relationships, including management of Customer Requirements, Customer Webinars and Presentations
·        Act as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs.
·        Facilitate agreement amongst stakeholders as to how the Product should be designed and what level of risk is acceptable.

Qualifications and Experience Required: 
·        Diploma/degree in a computer-related or product management discipline or equivalent.
·        Experience in Product Management for B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
·        Learning Technology industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
·        Experience of leadership experience across multiple sites.
·        Strong understanding of software technology and common technical terms for a SaaS Product with the ability to discuss technical requirements (such as load & performance testing, upgrades, security requirements) with the Development Team.
·        Proven experience in defining requirements, articulating solution design and crafting user stories.
·        Proven success bringing products to market that are robust, scalable, high quality and easy to use.
·        Both technically strong and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines with an organization
·        Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle. As well as experience with Agile software methodologies.
·        Experience in conducting requirements workshops and facilitating consensus in a landscape of diverse and potentially conflicting requirements.
·        Experience in managing or working in virtual teams across multiple locations.
·        Critical attention-to-detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in tight timeframes, while maintaining accuracy and quality
·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive)
