In this compelling leadership position, you will lead efforts to build, develop, and design functionality for a product, as well as oversee the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.  In this role this leader will be expected to develop and manage a high performing team that delivers quality and value for the organization.  Clear understanding of product management principals and theories will be applied daily in this role.

The Director of Product Management role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Direct the development of the design strategy for new products.
  • Direct the team on the implementation process for new products.
  • Drive implementation for product improvements.
  • Directs a team responsible for the product lifecycle and ongoing maintenance.
  • Define product strategy that is in alignment with business objectives.

  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Experience with Lean Management and Lean Management principals in leading a high performing team
  • Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
  • Expertise and demonstrated success in digital transformation and delivering solutions that are readily scalable and re-usable, improving time to market
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and techniques to improve product delivery
  • Product Management including managing demand, releases, and backlog
  • Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
  • Communication skills including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • Establish strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (business stakeholders and technology) to achieve shared goals.
  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, Jira or Power BI
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
  • Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS

Tools

  • Skilled in SQL
  • Skilled in Tableau
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Skilled in Power BI
  • Familiarity with Confluence
