We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic and innovative leader to step into the critical role of Director of Product Management for ExtremeCloud Platform to join the team.  Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, you will lead a team of product managers who are driving industry’s leading cloud networking SaaS solution, ExtremeCloud™ IQ and redefining network management experience.The Cloud platform is the basis for all applications and is critical to our ability to deliver the One Cloud experience in Infinite Enterprise. This role requires domain knowledge of SaaS application architectures and large-scale microservices-based applications.

This is an exciting position whose mission includes bringing leadership, vision, and best-in-class cloud architecture solution to the market. You will be the focal point defining & prioritizing services for cloud architecture to support various ExtremeCloud applications. You will work in a fast-paced environment collaborating with cross functional leaders across product management, design and user research team and driving requirements with the engineering team to define an executable plan.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leading a team of product managers who are defining ExtremeCloud platform.
  • Develop the cloud platform roadmap (epics, stories, and sprints) to deliver prioritized content and capabilities to meet portfolio priorities and integrations with other tools, technologies, and ecosystems. Articulate the value proposition for the cloud platform solutions.
  • Collaborate with other product leaders, engineering, and user experience to craft novel approaches to new and existing use cases.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically while managing through ambiguity, adversity, and conflict to establish focus and deliver against business goals.
  • Understanding Extreme Networks enterprise portfolio and its competitive differentiation
  • Entrepreneurship, a "can do" demeanor, and the desire to make an impact
  • Driving and helping to create data driven decisions at scale

Requirements:

  • Extensive PLM experience (7+ years), managing SaaS application architectures and large-scale microservices-based applications.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies from AWS, Azure, GCP and others, specifically:  Elasticsearch, SQL databases like PostgresSQL, Apache Redis, Kafka, and Flink, and NGINX.
  • Knowledge of API’s and webhooks and API development for 3rd party integration among SaaS products.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud and cyber security best practices for SaaS environments and basic familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, 22301, NIST 800-53, and others.
  • Solid understanding of world-wide data privacy concerns with SaaS applications, specifically North American standards like CCPA and PIPEDA, and European standards like GDPR.  A passion for protecting PII and user privacy, and privacy by design mindset is paramount.
  • Basic functional programming ability in Python, Go, Java, Javascript or other similar language, leveraging API’s.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence technologies is a plus
  • History of involvement in wired and/or wireless network engineering is a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills across differing experience levels and ability to write product release notes, whitepapers and other customer-facing documents.
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree or equivalent in engineering is desired.
  • Preferred Location: San Jose, California. Remoted candidates will be considered if they meet requirement (Anywhere in USA)
