Director of Product, Commercial Growth

San Francisco, United States
Full-Time
Remote

As the holiday season approaches, we want to inform you that response times and the hiring process may be slightly extended due to business team schedules. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this period and remain committed to keeping you informed as we review applications. Thank you for considering a role at ŌURA—we look forward to learning more about you!

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped 2.5 million people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We are looking for a Director of Product, Commercial Growth to join our team in the U.S. to define and execute the enterprise product strategy for managing bulk orders and services, in order to drive significant revenue growth. This role requires someone who is equally proficient in both front and backend domains: you have the technical expertise to evaluate API integrations and define a platform strategy, as well as the design acumen and passion to build best-in-class user experiences. The ideal candidate has previously scaled new verticals and business opportunities several times previously, and can leverage their expertise to address Oura’s unique needs.

What you will do:

  • Build the product vision and strategy for our custom Commerce platform that supports all digital purchases of Oura Rings (on and off of our owned eCommerce channel)
  • Define the product roadmap and execute multiple projects in-parallel, on-time, and within budget. Build detailed and comprehensive requirements for web products and new systems that facilitate the sales and management of bulk Oura Ring orders and companion services, ensuring delivery of high-quality products that delight customers and result in significant and measurable business impact.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of, and empathy for, Oura’s enterprise  customers across diverse sectors such as healthcare, the military, partnerships, and research. Synthesize inputs and develop your own strategy to build new products to support revenue growth.
  • Serve as product lead in external partnership discussions to close prospective deals; arm sales teams with repeatable solutions to scale the business
  • Partner and manage several stakeholders across various lines of the business, including C-suite executives; synthesize competing priorities to develop clear lines of action that deliver the highest value for the company and member
  • Determine how to best measure product goals and results. Ensure that the correct tracking and analytics are in place to track impact.
  • Help drive a culture of excellence while ensuring a positive and highly collaborative environment for all cross-functional teams

We have offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team, if you have:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including expertise in B2B/partnership sales, eCommerce, and payments for global companies. Plus if you have experience in wearables or healthcare.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, partnership and stakeholder management skills; you thrive in gathering inputs from other experts while driving decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an innate curiosity to solve complex problems in simple and creative ways
  • Proven track record of managing and launching products that have significantly grown the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clarity for all cross-functional stakeholders, and distill complex issues into easy-to-understand narratives
  • Confidence in talking with executive leadership, internally and externally
  • Deep intuition for user experience and design
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decisions, understand user behavior and measure revenue opportunities/impact
