The Hospitality Solutions team is focused on ensuring Tripadvisor is providing a world class suite of solutions for hoteliers and restaurants spanning the full marketing, from Enterprise accounts to independent hotels and restaurants.

The Role

Tripadvisor is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Pricing to create, own and execute a pricing strategy across our suite of Hospitality Solutions products supporting our Small Medium Business lines in addition to our Enterprise clients.  In this role, you will lead a team of pricing analysts responsible for growing our new and existing customer base by optimizing our current pricing models and launching pricing packages and promotions in partnership with go-to-market stakeholders.  You and your team will collaborate with cross-functional teams, and conduct extensive data analysis and modeling, market research, strategy formulation, and clear communication of pricing recommendations.  You will partner with our Director of Strategy as they identify strategic areas of revenue growth for us to invest in. You will develop a deep understanding of the business models in which we operate and influence our leadership team to make critical pricing decisions tied to our business strategy and market changes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the pricing strategy and operations function for all B2B Hospitality Solutions products bringing to bear your expertise on methodology, testing frameworks, analysis and advising the business on scenario modeling

  • Develop, provide and execute on a perspective of customers segmentation and the analysis to define the strategic pricing opportunities and  revenue optimization by segment (for Hotels and Restaurant product lines)

  • Provide and implement a framework for success metric measurement: inclusive of a recommendation for products, tools or methods to continuously track the implementation and effectiveness of pricing changes and incorporation of competitive intel of best practices in the market

  • Develop, deploy, and manage pricing reporting and analytics that improve business intelligence and decision-making capabilities in conjunction with Analytics

  • Influence the decision making of business line revenue trade offs across B2B portfolio to ensure we’re maximizing revenues across Tripadvisor

  • Partner with Finance leadership on input of revenue forecasts considering both internal and external factors (inflation, market trends, etc) impact on our product profitability and growth targets

  • Responsible for owning price and discount tests to drive drive profitability and accountable for results in partnership with stakeholders

  • Tell the story behind numbers to effectively communicate the implication of risks & opportunities and their impact on the business

  • Work effectively with a stakeholder group including General Managers, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product and Analytics

 What We’re Looking For:

  • +10 years in Pricing/Finance/Strategy roles operating within a consulting firm and/or tech company

  • Highly analytical with the ability to influence senior leadership in a highly matrixed organization 

  • Strong leadership and management skills; this role includes direct reports

  • Holistic strategic/business thinking & execution of plans

  • Ability to embrace change & drive change - test and learn culture

  • Experience within the hospitality industry a plus
