As the Director of Pre-Sales Solution Architects, you will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team of solution architects. This includes recruiting top talent with the right technical skills and business acumen, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, and providing ongoing mentorship to enhance both technical and soft skills. You will be responsible for building personalized career development plans to help your team members achieve their professional goals, setting clear performance expectations aligned with organizational objectives, and conducting regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement. Your leadership will focus on maintaining balanced workloads, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery, and resolving team conflicts proactively to create a positive work environment. Motivating the team by celebrating successes and fostering a sense of ownership and accountability will be key to maintaining high morale and engagement.
In this role, you will also hold a strategic leadership position by aligning your team’s efforts with the organization’s broader sales and business goals. You will guide the team through changes in market trends, technologies, and customer needs, ensuring they stay agile and adaptable in a rapidly evolving environment. Your ability to collaborate effectively across departments, such as sales, marketing, and product management, will be crucial in delivering unified, compelling customer solutions. You will also handle high-pressure situations with poise, making critical decisions to resolve escalations and manage complex customer requirements. What You’ll Get to Do:
- Collaborate with GuidePoint Security professional services, OEM sales and technical teams developing strategies for customer opportunities, solutions for use cases and
responses to customer questions.
- Lead the development of responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring that proposals effectively address customer needs and differentiate GuidePoint Security’s offerings.
- Engage with GuidePoint professional services team to position and sell GuidePoint cyber security services to Federal agency customers.
- Engage with customers, GPS services and OEMs to understand their technology stack, tools, and integration needs, and provide a technical overview to the sales team.
- Engage with industry and governing agencies to stay ahead of Federal administrative mandates, guidance, and initiatives assisting account teams to add value to customer’s
needs.
- Either already possess or pass a background clearance investigation, potentially a polygraph to hold a Federal security clearance.
- Train GuidePoint account managers to drive autonomy in technical prospecting new opportunities with customers.
- Manage complex proof-of-value projects and design experiments that showcase GuidePoint Security's ability to integrate multiple technologies and solve cyber security
problems.
- Responsible for developing reference architectures, presentations and marketing briefs that help GuidePoint Security attract customers.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding high-performing solution architects with the right technical skills and business acumen.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and training to team members to enhance their technical and soft skills.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen with a clean background or have an active security clearance from the US Federal Government.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of solution architects, including hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and fostering professional development.
- Experience inspiring and energizing a team by celebrating achievements, recognizing contributions, and maintaining high morale.
- Ability to work closely with sales, marketing and channel teams to align technical solutions with client needs and strategic business goals, including participation in
strategic account planning.
- 7+ years' experience as a technical consultant, pre-sales engineer, solution architect, or a similar customer/partner-facing technical role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct high level technical discussions and engage with customers and OEMs confidently.
- The ability to align team efforts with the organization’s broader sales and business strategy.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- A strong technical aptitude and quickly grasp new concepts, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity market and a keen awareness of industry trends and emerging opportunities.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Demonstrated 5 or more years of experience supporting an IC or DoD agency in adopting and transitioning systems and services to cloud environments, including hybrid cloud environments.
- Active Top Secret and above clearance
- This job is remote but preference is given to candidates that live in the DC metro area.
