THE ROLE
OLIPOP is searching for a Director of National Shopper & Channel Marketing to join our team and drive high impact in shopper marketing, look of success on shelf, strategic retailer partnerships programming across our food service and on-premise channels.
In this role, you’ll own the national perspective and end-to-end lifecycle of in-store point-of-sale (POS) collateral, from strategic concepting and development through to in-store execution. You’ll also lead the charge on establishing our channel marketing strategy, specifically focused on our Food Service and On-Premise retail partners. The role will collaborate with the sales, supply chain, & finance teams to ensure all national and channel initiatives deliver on the brand vision, while being effectively forecasted, produced and delivered in-market across all retail channels and outlets. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategic planning and development of POS materials (displays, signage, demos and other physical elements) aligned with the OLIPOP brand and tentpole moment or campaign objectives
- Ensure POS strategies support overall marketing and sales goals with an understanding of driving mutual success for our retail partners, enhancing shopper engagement and driving sales
- Oversee the management of POS inventory, ensuring materials are produced, ordered, distributed, and delivered or installed efficiently, monitoring inventory to avoid shortages or overproduction
- Source, direct, and collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of POS materials, with a strong ability to negotiate contracts for projects at scale
- Collaborate with the sales, supply chain, & finance teams on the development of in-store display programming ideation, planning, and execution at store level, driving channel prioritization in accordance with retailer segmentation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive channel marketing strategy for our food service and on-premise accounts (including QSR, institutional dining, and other hospitality industries), working closely with sales and operations to drive channel-specific growth initiatives align with national marketing efforts
- Build strong relationships with key retailers and food service accounts, collaborating on joint business plans, promotions, and shopper engagement strategies
- Drive innovation in channel programming, identifying new opportunities with food service operators and distributors to support emerging food service trends and needs across channels
- Leverage insights and data on consumer behavior, operator needs and competitive market dynamics within food service channels to inform marketing strategies and drive relevance at scale
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in the consumer packaged goods industry experience within a shopper & retailer or channel marketing role; beverage experience a plus.
- 2+ years being a people manager with the ability to delegate, teach and drive efficiency
- Deeply passionate about OLIPOP, and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
- A thorough understanding of the full retailer landscape and expert knowledge base of all the various ways that OLIPOP can activate within the physical shopping environment, tying into broader brand initiatives and tent pole moments.
- Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
- An acute attention to detail, but not to the point of being inflexible, and the ability to produce accurate work quickly & efficiently.
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
- Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
- Analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and program measurement and analysis
- Demonstrated history in vendor management, costing and negotiation
- Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.

Must have experience with the vendors that assist with: in-store display program, POS, merch, & space planning/display rendering.

Must have in-store experience from ideation and strategy to in-store execution of displays with cross-functional work with sales, finance, & supply chain.

COMPENSATION:
$135,000-$145,000 base salary + bonus
