As a Director of Mobile, you are end responsible for the mobile discipline as a whole and own mobile strategy at Backbase. It is your responsibility to provide thought leadership on mobile engineering and coordinate efforts and alignment with other departments.
Meet the job
]As part of your role, you define guidelines for utilising technology in Backbase mobile products, spot technical issues before they become escalations, handle escalations and ensure product consistency across teams. As the main representative of the Mobile Guild at Backbase, you connect with our clients through 1-on-1 meetings and professional events, collect their feedback and drive improvement initiatives with the sole purpose of making the mobile discipline work for Backbase customers. As a Mobile Guild Chair, you take initiative to bring members of the guild together through meetings, working sessions and stand-ups. As an experienced leader and people manager, you distribute and delegate projects and initiatives within your guild, provide guidance and insight into team structure and roles from a high-level perspective, provide guidance in onboarding and development of Mobile Engineers, own technical interview process and ensure that recruitment of mobile engineers as a whole is successful.
How about you
● Minimum of 8 years of experience in mobile development; at leats 5 years of experience in financial domain and experience in customer-facing roles and dealing with escalations;
● Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or similar;
● English language, written and spoken;
● Has 8 years and above in a similar role;
● 3+ years of experience in Backbase, Digital Banking or Fintech.
