About the Role:
TodayTix is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Marketing, US, to oversee all aspects of paid and unpaid, attributable and unattributable, brand-focused, and product-focused marketing for our US markets, with a particular emphasis on New York (Broadway). The ideal candidate has extensive experience scaling paid channels efficiently and developing impactful, integrated and highly strategic marketing campaigns, and excels at driving brand awareness and achieving ambitious growth goals. A deep understanding of the dynamic and competitive Broadway market, in addition to the regional North American theatre market, is a plus.
Reporting directly to SVP Marketing, TodayTix, you’ll be responsible for achieving ambitious channel-level targets and creating marketing campaigns that align with TodayTix’s business objectives. This is a highly collaborative role, as this person will work closely with Brand Marketing, Partner Success and Product/Tech teams on a daily basis, in addition to getting the best from teams reporting directly to them, including CRM.

Please note: this is a full-time position and qualified candidates must be based in the greater New York City area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week.
What You'll Do:
- Develop powerful, compelling and successful year-round marketing strategies for TodayTix US, designed to take advantage of business opportunities to ensure TodayTix achieves its annual growth goals in the market.
- Plan and execute industry-leading marketing campaigns incorporating both performance and non-performance media, ensuring synchronization across all marketing channels. Challenge team members and channel teams to provide energetic and market-leading solutions to specific challenges.
- Take overall responsibility for TodayTix’s US marketing budget of $16M+ pa
- Direct the growth team (Google and Meta) to achieve agreed goals representing both scale of business (including gross sales, ticket volume, first purchase) but also efficiency (including CPI, CPA and CAC), actively pushing teams towards success. Ensure the team is continually challenged and stay abreast of trends, changes and algorithm and channel issues.
- Partner with the Director of Brand to lead on the budgeting and execution of TodayTix brand campaigns, especially regarding ensuring the effectiveness of campaigns, as well as comms goals and PR strategy.
- Develop comprehensive campaign plans for high-impact multi-show campaigns throughout the year, utilizing them to achieve TT goals. Share responsibility for campaign success with the Partner Success team.
- Provide effective line management and clear direction for the marketing team, ensuring robust and well-executed activities that highlight key brand benefits and compelling product.
- Oversee US email marketing calendars, considering the diverse needs of different business corners, including Partner Success and Brand teams.
- Advocate for TT’s Members’ perspective in all planning and campaign execution, ensuring that all activities continually clarify the USPs of TTG’s brands and strengthen their consumer proposition.
- Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and data-driven approaches within the marketing strategy, collaborating with tech and product teams to leverage cutting-edge tools that enhance overall campaign effectiveness. Ensure a seamless user/Member experience that aligns with the company's brand promise and marketing objectives.
- Represent TTG to the broader industry, showcasing the integrity, spirit of partnership, resourcefulness, and resilience of the TTG team.
- Work with the Partner Success team to shape and deliver compelling promotional offerings, representing the needs and wishes of TodayTix Members
- Steer activities in the organic social space, partnering with Brand team to deliver compelling content that resonates with both existing and new TodayTix Members.
We're Looking for Someone With:
- 10+ years of experience in an integrated marketing role, where they have been adept at drawing together disparate campaign elements to achieve a unified goal; app marketing experience a strong plus
- Experience of planning and taking responsibility for multi-million dollar advertising campaigns, utilizing a blend of performance and non-performance media. Comfortable in advocating for media choices and continually pushing the boundaries for reach and impact
- A track record of deep curiosity and fervor around the businesses and products they’ve marketed; regardless of industry background, a desire to become an expert in understanding the theatrical landscape
- A strong creative gut around visual and verbal creative and experience giving feedback and direction to creative teams to elevate work to excellence
- Knowledge of growth marketing strategies and tactics; comfortability in managing to CAC targets with an understanding of how to direct media budgets to balance scale and profitability
- Ability to work to sales goals, with a proven track record of turning a range of data into market insight, market insight into marketing strategy, and marketing strategy into successful execution. This role will be expected to have a keen understanding of how the product we sell contributes to overall business performance and to have a sophisticated point of view on where and how the TodayTix brand leans into show-specific versus brand-led marketing.
- Ability to gain partnership across an organization, exercising authority and influence to keep wheels in motion
- Experience managing a team of high performers, with a demonstrated record of holding teams to high standards, motivating with urgency, and leading with empathy
