As the Director of Global Corporate Communications (Maternity Cover), you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Too Good To Go communicates with the world.

 

Role Overview:
We are looking for an inspiring, fun, and dynamic individual to take on the role of Director of Global Corporate Communications while our Director is on maternity leave. Reporting to the VP of Global Communications, this key position involves leading Too Good To Go's global corporate communication strategy (including internal communications), defining our narrative on key topics, raising the profile of our company through our executives and managing communications risks. Enabling us to amplify our mission and values to stakeholders worldwide.

You will also lead and inspire a team, including the Senior Manager of Internal Communications and the Corporate Communications Manager, ensuring alignment across all communication initiatives. 

We're seeking a team player who thinks big, while getting their hands dirty. You will motivate and inspire the global communications team and contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture.

This role can be based in London or Copenhagen. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Communications Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a global corporate communications strategy that aligns with Too Good To Go’s mission, values, and business goals.
  • Internal Communications Strategy: Develop and lead a global internal communications strategy that fosters employee engagement, alignment with the company’s mission, and seamless communication across regions.
  • Crisis Communication: Act as a trusted advisor during times of crisis or high-stakes situations, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Media Relations & Agency Management: Build and maintain relationships with key global media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Leverage our agency partnerships to maximise positive coverage and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Internal Communications Execution: Partner with People & Culture and department heads to drive internal communication initiatives that engage employees and keep them informed about key developments and business priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and government bodies, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and objectives.
  • Leadership and Team Inspiration: Oversee and guide a team of communications professionals, including the Senior Manager of Internal Communications and the Corporate Communications Manager, ensuring they are aligned across all of our markets with the overall strategy and motivated to deliver outstanding results.
  • Thought Leadership: Position Too Good To Go’s leadership team as champions in the global fight against food waste, driving thought leadership through media opportunities, events, and strategic communication initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, local PR leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and a strong global brand reputation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field at a global level.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multi-market teams.
  • Experience developing and executing internal communications strategies at a global scale.
  • Native-level English proficiency, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A second language is a definite plus.
  • Experience in crisis communication and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
  • Strong media relations experience with established contacts in major media outlets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and social impact, with a strong belief in Too Good To Go’s mission.
