Director of Engineering - Prime

BitGo is looking for a Director of Engineering to join our Prime organization and help us build resilient, robust services and are responsible for working on critical projects with limited or no supervision.

This is an onsite role in our NY, NY (40 Wall St) office. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative trading and financing solutions for a diversity of clients, from crypto-native companies to Fortune 500 companies.
• Be accountable for the user experience of our Prime Trade and Financing products.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other key stakeholders to set the product and technical vision and roadmap for Prime Engineering, and to successfully execute against the same.
• Coach engineering managers to grow the next generation of senior engineering leaders at BitGo.
• Actively foster an engineering-wide culture that embodies our values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client first approach.

Required

• Work experience as an engineering leader within financial services, trade or financing experience preferred 
• 14+ years of professional experience as in software engineering, 6+ years in a managerial role leading engineers, 2+ years in a role leading managers
• Strong desire to automate where possible and build tooling for a more efficient workflow
• Strong debugging skills and ability to grasp the interconnected nature of complex systems
• Proven experience sourcing and hiring top engineering talent
• Experience working in a cross-team environment, collaborating with and enabling other functions to drive broader departmental goals
• A self-starter capable of adapting quickly and being decisive
• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $205,000 - $275,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined below are also a part of this role's package.
