JOB SUMMARY 

Code.org is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Development Operations and Donor Services to join our team. In this role, you will play an important role in ensuring the continued success of our fundraising efforts and donor stewardship. You will be responsible for handling our development team's operations and overseeing our donor pipeline management process. As the primary system administrator for Salesforce, you will implement new tools and processes to improve our development operations. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze data will enable you to provide valuable insights into our fundraising efforts, ensuring that we meet our bold goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and execute processes to govern how the team functions, ensuring detailed stewardship of key donors and follow-through on major opportunities.
  • Evaluate and analyze reports to provide visibility of operations to the team, leadership, and executive team.
  • Partner with gift officers to guide fundraising efforts and maintain robust donor opportunities throughout the year.
  • Research and qualify current and prospective donors to support data-driven cultivation.
  • Serving as the primary system administrator for Salesforce and implementing new tools.
  • Coordinate the timely processing of all contributions and accurately record them in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Finance on reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Own the donor acknowledgment process, including letters and tax receipts.
  • Supervise various online donation platforms, responding to donor comments as needed.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We seek candidates who have:

  • Passion for our mission and computer science education.
  • 8-12 years of experience in development and/or sales operations.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce administrator.
  • Strong experience with database operations.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze data and understand its relationship to fundraising objectives.
  • Ability to process and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to design, lead, and evaluate systems, processes, and tools for efficient and accurate operational components.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly developed attention to detail and organization.

In addition, candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Be willing to travel a minimum of two times per year for team events

Step 1: Informational Interview - learn more about the role and share your experience (30 minutes)
Step 2: Homework (~3 hours)
Step 3: Interviews with several members of the Code.org team (~ 3 hours)
Step 4: Final Interview (1 hour)
Step 5: Reference Checks 

All interviews are currently being conducted virtually via Zoom

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

The expected salary range for this position is $102,600 - $114,000. Most offers are on the lower end of the salary range and are at the company’s sole discretion based on the final candidate’s experience. This allows us to provide a fair and equitable approach to compensation when setting pay and maintaining internal pay equity.
