Nerdy is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Corporate Training & Development to spearhead the evolution of our training programs across all company departments and teams. This pivotal role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and refining high-impact training strategies that fuel the company's immediate and long-term growth. As a strategic partner to business leaders, you will leverage your expertise in program development, data-driven improvement, project management, content creation, and facilitation to bring these initiatives to life.

In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated training managers and trainers, ensuring the delivery of top-tier training processes. Your mission will be to evaluate and validate training programs, ensuring their effectiveness in enhancing organizational performance. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated success in managing and leading successful training teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in organizational development, adult learning concepts, curriculum design, e-Learning, direct training, instructional design, leadership training curriculum development and on-demand learning.
  • 5+ years of Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration experience, strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing effective training programs for sales and customer success teams in a remote-first environment.
  • Strong competence in data analysis and continuous improvement strategies related to training and development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program and project management.
  • Experience in creating large-scale, online training programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, product, marketing, and operations leaders to develop core content and mastery assessments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver top-tier learning and development solutions across diverse audiences.
  • Classroom presence and ability to develop high-quality classroom trainers
  • Understand and appreciate that Nerdy is an apolitical company and that we can have the largest impact if we are united in our focus on helping people learn and not divided or distracted by advancing unrelated causes

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design, planning, execution and implementation of cutting edge training programs including e-learning courses, and workshops aligned with the objectives and strategy focused on business needs and company systems. 
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as determine effectiveness of programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of training professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering employees to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with fellow Nerds at the company, teams, and organizational leaders to identify organizational needs, evaluate development plans, and craft innovative solutions.
  • Partner with key departments to drive change management and promote training initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a communication strategy to highlight key training processes and activities.
  • Assess current training programs, design strategic improvements, and oversee the implementation and evaluation of learning solutions.
  • Create data-driven training plans for new hires in customer-facing roles, ensuring their successful onboarding and development.
  • Design engaging training materials and lead both large and small group training sessions.
