What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute an industry-leading external communications strategy further positioning BHG Financial as the next generation Fintech solution.
  • Counsel executives on how best to drive communications strategy and increase executive visibility by identifying thought leadership opportunities for key executives and media training.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with top-tier corporate and industry media, consumer groups, communities, trade associations, and other affiliated non-industry groups.
  • Measure the effectiveness of external communications through a variety of resources, metrics, and media to report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Proactive and reactive communications planning; as well as external crisis management and communications.
  • Manage and develop a team of motivated and experienced communications leaders.   

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of communications experience leading, creating, and executing communications strategies, plans, and content for multi-brand organizations or enterprises.
  • In-house, communications consulting, and/or agency experience are applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field with a preference for majors in Communications, English, or Journalism.
  • Must have experience in fintech and external communications/PR.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate a range of topics -- including in urgent/crisis situations -- into clear, compelling communications that resonate with internal audiences.
  • Strong proficiency using communication tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, digital and social platforms, and virtual meeting platforms (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams).
