Position Overview:
As the Director of Business Intelligence (BI) for Atheneum, you will lead the BI team and collaborate with organisatonal leadership to set data and reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with company’s overall goals.
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of BI tools and systems to support data-driven decision making cross the company.
You will play a crucial role in leveraging our data to drive business growth and provide valuable insights to Department heads, Leadership, clients, and investors.
Your strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills will be instrumental in developing an analytical data-driven culture and optimising decision-making processes within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior Leadership and stakeholders to define the BI department strategy and roadmap for Atheneum. Align the strategy with the company's goals and objectives. Work in partnership with operations and commercial teams to integrate BI insights into business processes and decisions-making.
Data Control and Management: Coordinate with Data Engineering and the Program Management Office on data control, governance quality, definitions, accuracy, and consistency. Develop, implement, and monitor data governance policies and procedures, including establishing and managing a single source of truth process in reporting.
Analytical Tools and Infrastructure: Contribute to evaluating, selecting, and implementing business intelligence tools and technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities. Establish and maintain scalable infrastructure for data processing, storage, and retrieval.
Insights Generation: Lead the development of advanced analytics models, regression analysis, algorithms, and methodologies to extract insights from our data warehouse and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
Reporting and Visualisation: Design and implement reporting frameworks and dashboards to communicate key findings and performance metrics to clients and internal stakeholders. Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and actionable.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of global business intelligence professionals. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional development.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology (IT, Software Development, Data Engineering and Data Science), PMO, Product, Finance, Accounting, sales, operations, and marketing, to identify business intelligence requirements and support decision-making processes across the organisation. Work closely with stakeholders around key client requirements to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives in usage reporting.
Improving Business Knowledge: Drive a data-driven culture by continuously educating the business on and improving its understanding of business data, reporting, and data quality and accuracy to enhance the data and reporting knowledge across the organisation. Ensure stakeholders know the limitations, benefits, strengths, weaknesses, and best practices for using data in decision-making, including reporting timelines and data reporting periods.
