The Job
This role is dedicated to driving the expansion of EV charging services within existing client bases and into new markets, with no direct involvement in the development of physical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include formulating effective market entry strategies and creating customer-centric service models that enhance operational efficiency in the fast-evolving EV charging sector.
What You’ll Do

Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to uncover new expansion opportunities.
- Analyze competitor strategies, customer preferences, and emerging technologies within the EV charging space.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, government incentives, and market trends that impact the EV charging industry.
Strategic Partnerships & Collaboration:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including EV manufacturers, fleet operators, utility companies, and property owners.
- Negotiate strategic partnerships to leverage existing or planned charging infrastructure.
Service Model Development:
- Design and implement innovative business models for EV charging services, such as subscription plans, pay-per-use options, and tailored services for fleet operators.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies that reflect market conditions while maximizing customer value.
- Identify additional service offerings (e.g., mobile charging, customer support, predictive analytics) to differentiate the company from competitors.
Regulatory & Policy Advocacy:
- Monitor and influence the regulatory landscape to support EV adoption and the growth of charging services.
- Leverage government incentives or subsidies to reduce market entry costs and provide customer discounts.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute market entry strategies that position the company as a leader in the EV charging services space.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful strategy implementation.
- Oversee seamless service rollouts in new markets, ensuring an outstanding customer experience from discovery to payment.
Customer Acquisition & Retention:
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously enhance service offerings and optimize customer satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Utilize data-driven insights to refine business models, adjust pricing strategies, and elevate the overall service experience.
- Lead post-launch performance reviews and modify strategies to ensure long-term success.
- Drive continuous improvement with real-time monitoring and remote diagnostics to proactively resolve technical issues.
Who You Are

- Collaborative leader, skilled at working cross-functionally and managing diverse teams.
Experience You’ll Need
- 7+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or product management, ideally within the energy, technology, or transportation sectors.
- In-depth understanding of the EV charging ecosystem, including market dynamics, customer needs, and industry challenges.
- Experience with SaaS or tech-enabled service models, particularly in monitoring and diagnostic tools, is highly preferred.
Experience That’s a Plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Key Skills:
- Expertise in partnership building, contract negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Strong capabilities in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunity identification.
- Knowledge of customer-centric business models and strategies to drive service growth.
- Familiarity with remote diagnostic technologies for real-time monitoring and optimization.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Awareness of emerging EV technologies and software solutions.
