Director of Audience Development — Semafor Events

About the Role

As a Director of Audience Development for Semafor’s rapidly growing portfolio of live journalism, you will play a key role in convening the global leadership class around high-profile global and national events including roundtables, single topic forums, newsmaker interviews and multi-day summits. 

Our audience consists of high profile senior leaders in both the public and private sectors, requiring a high degree of sophistication, entrepreneurial and creative thinking in both curation and outreach. This is a Hybrid role, requiring 4 days per week in-office.

Your Responsibilities 

• Support the development of a clear and ambitious curation audience thesis for each event in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Curate & segment lists based on the audience thesis through databases, research and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Lead the operations of multi-channel audience outreach to achieve the demographic and capacity goals of the event including close collaboration with our design team, copywriting, email campaigns and website management. 
• Forge and/or support strategic partnerships for extended reach into our Principal audiences. 
• Act in the capacity of “Principal Concierge”, providing white glove service for attendees of Semafor events. 
• Occasionally provide on the ground support at Semafor events.

Salary Range:

The base annual salary for this position at the time of posting will range from $120,000-$150,000 annually. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
