THE TEAM
The Growth team is responsible for scaling the organization through marketing and advertising. We are the engine that brings the company new customers in order to make ALL the dogs happy. Our team is close-knit - we like to have fun and joke around, and we're often found nerding out on consumer behavior. WHO WE’RE SNIFFING FOR 
We are sniffing around for a dog & consumer-centric, entrepreneurial Director of Growth - Amazon who shares our dedication to making all dogs happy and has proven experience in delivering world-class growth. This pivotal role involves shaping the future of Bark’s Marketplaces, developing marketing and growth strategies to enhance our product offerings, building awareness, reach, and scale. The ideal candidate is an expert in Sponsored Advertising, DSP, and Video, with a proven track record in managing budgets and complex catalogs. You will contribute to the strategy and execution of on- and off-platform paid media, collaborating with external agency partners to achieve marketing and sales goals. You will initiate and manage campaigns to enhance search engine visibility and drive shoppers to Amazon using paid tactics like paid social, search, display, retargeting, shopping, influencers, affiliates and Connected TV.   • Lead the media strategies across the Amazon channel to support business priorities, category objectives, communications calendar, and commercial goals
  • Craft compelling integrated marketing campaigns focused on revenue growth and customer acquisition, optimizing the sales funnel from capture to customer retention, and enhancing marketing automation to improve conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), lifetime value (LTV), and velocity.
  • Create and iterate media scenarios with agency ad partners that are grounded in data, research, consumer trends, and best practices to deliver on multiple objectives and budget sizes.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve product positioning, listing optimizations, promo strategies, post-purchase acquisition strategies and review acquisition.
  • Oversee competitive positioning and pricing strategies to enhance market share and customer engagement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continually refine marketing strategies, identifying opportunities for growth, acquisition, retention, and expansion across various marketing channels.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement within the growth team.


EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience leading growth and marketing on Amazon, Amazon International with demonstrated results in media strategy on and off the Amazon platform
  • Proven track record of scaling a brand's Amazon revenue from $5 million to $50 million within a 3-year period. Please include specific examples and results in your application.
  • Proven track record in launching and scaling Amazon international account. Please include specific examples and results in your application
  • Demonstrable ability to manage complex projects and budgets effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a knack for turning data into actionable insights.
  • A history of entrepreneurial, resourceful approaches to challenges, ideally within a startup or new product launch environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in senior growth/marketing leadership roles within Amazon
  • Extensive performance marketing experience is required including hands-on experience with Search and DSP and a strong understanding of Amazon’s algorithm and ranking factors.
  • Familiarity with Amazon marketing stream, Amazon marketing cloud, vendor & seller central, advertising dashboard, downstream, and AI are desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Innovative thinker capable of operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships across various stakeholders.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a small team setting where autonomy and self-sufficiency are crucial.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, demonstrated by a history of fetching revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Deep passion for our mission to make all dogs and their people happy with best-in-class CX throughout their journey from discovering BARK products to post-purchase engagement.

FOR CO/NJ/NY BASED APPLICANTS: 
The base salary range for this position is $155,000-$240,000
This position is eligible for equity 


**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
