US Finance is comprised of financial professionals who lead all aspects of financial activities, including corporate financial planning and analysis; pricing, affordability, and digital strategy; national field finance; and economic policy for McDonald's USA, LLC.
This role is uniquely positioned to lead the largest team in the U.S. Finance function and serve as a valued business partner with Field Offices and the U.S. Controller Group. The NFF team not only develops and performs financial analytics for critical decision making but also fosters an environment of identifying, creating and sharing best practices & solutions across Field Offices. The team performs centralized Field Finance including but not limited to Franchisee financial health monitoring, restaurant sales analysis, real estate development support, and financial analysis for owner/operator business reviews. This role provides highly valued foundational knowledge about the U.S. Business and builds strong partnership with the Field that supports long-term career growth throughout the McDonald’s Global Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the largest team in U.S. Finance consisting of over 20+ Finance professionals who provide full financial and analytical support for their assigned Field Offices as well as National initiatives.
- Coach, train, and lead NFF managers, supervisors and specialists on all process and procedures sharing a common accountability for the team with field finance
- Foster a team environment that operates with high performance and agility to ensure successful execution of priority Field and U.S. level business initiatives
- Develop talent for NFF, Field Finance and across Global Finance providing foundational business knowledge & exposure that enables fully enriched career pathing for team members at all levels.
- Oversee critical processes completed by NFF impacting overall franchisee financial health, business reviews, restaurant valuations, sale between operators (SBOs), rent setting for rewrites/term extensions, real estate/development support, accounts receivable, etc. This includes driving consistency across field offices, providing insights, identifying efficiencies, and approving analyses as needed
- Work closely with Economic Strategy Team to build knowledge and effective application of key economic policies and business dynamics that the impact restaurants
- Strategic thought partner with our U.S. Field Offices on a variety of forward-looking business objectives that have local and national implications
- Sponsor the on-going review of processes for efficiencies and best practices that can be leveraged across Field Offices including opportunities for automation/modernization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other Departments (Franchising, Treasury, Legal, Restaurant Development, Franchise Business Partners within Restaurant Operations, etc.), and work with the Field Offices to resolve extraordinary issues.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. CPA, CFA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
- 8+ years of Finance/Accounting experience or related business experience
- Desire to learn the U.S. business from a national level and in support of the Field Offices.
- Passion inspiring teams with exceptional organizational leadership including the ability to coach, train, and develop finance professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment within NFF and in partnership with the Field Offices and other functions.
- Strong track record of innovative thinking in terms of identifying and seeking out opportunities for efficiencies, process improvements and determining path forward when there is business application ambiguity.
- Builds strong relationships across a variety of functions to deliver business results
- Exceptional communication and influence skills – ability to align upon complex business issues with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing and changing priorities
