WHAT YOU WILL DO
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· A senior leader who will drive all aspects of systems engineering with focus on NAND storage devices
· Drive system level architecture decisions across one or more storage technologies (eHDD, NAND).
· Lead architecture, design, development and deployment of innovative firmware that deliver competitive advantage and scale our business growth.
· Provide strategic leadership and direction to the technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
· Define development and validation methodologies, plans, team organization, infrastructure, and quality.
· Collaborate and drive engagement with related engineering functions such as product development core team, ASIC design, Memory vendors, Manufacturing, QA, customer teams etc.
· Lead and coach the team to deliver for success, thrive at the leading edge of innovation
· Be a technical leader in comparing, evaluating and driving innovative state of the art platform designs, techniques and find ways to adopt or modify and implement those on the platform for better differentiation and performance. Is up to date on the competitive landscape and use the knowledge to influence the product definition.
· Articulate technology strategies, anticipate challenges, and guide internal teams in evolving their architecture toward next-generation solutions.
· Define the system requirements, specifications, architectures, and interfaces for the products, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry standards, and regulatory compliance
· Maintain a diverse and inclusive environment that attracts, develops and retains high performers.
· BS or MS Electrical Engineering or related field
· At least 15 years direct experience delivering systems solutions for complex embedded systems at scale.
· 8+ years of experience as a manager leading high performing engineering teams
· 5+ years of experience leading large cross functional organizations that collaborate across multiple geographies.
· Technical expert in semiconductor and embedded system solutions and platforms.
· Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to solve problems from first principles
· Well versed with embedded software development and quality processes, methodologies, tools
· Adaptable and agile with a mindset to drive innovation concurrently with execution
· Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and attention to details with a business mindset.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
Preferred
· Experience in NAND memory or HDD firmware engineering preferred
· Demonstrated ability to deliver end to end solutions in data storage devices preferred
