Team Summary

Marketing Services is a growing business within Visa and delivers value to clients through a range of services, from advisory to execution to sponsorships.

The Marketing Services Hub team is dedicated to advancing Visa Marketing’s value-added services across AP, working closely with country Client Marketing teams, regional Finance & Hub partners and Global Marketing Services teams. This team is responsible for supporting AP’s Client Marketing teams by sharing best practices, developing training and communications materials, advancing key strategies to drive business growth, and ensuring efficient operating processes. 

This role will focus on Marketing Services service line diversification and business development across AP.   

Director, Marketing Services, AP responsibilities

As the Director, Marketing Services, you will report to the Senior Director and be responsible for the expanding Marketing Services service line use cases & business development. Main responsibilities are

  • Lead service line growth strategies through close collaboration with country Client Marketing teams to understand and address client unmet needs
  • Operationalize new ‘top-down’ opportunities for country Client Marketing teams, such as Sponsorships or Media platforms, to drive client uptake, including pricing strategy, development of sell-in materials, implementation process, pilot support
  • Drive uptake of Marketing Services with Visa’s Commercial and Money Movement Solutions, with B2B clients
  • Be champion for Marketing Services RFP and pitch proposal responses including leading Marketing Services pitch narrative with markets, supporting with best-in-class examples from across & outside of region to strengthen Marketing Services propositions
  • Be champion for best practices and best-in-class examples of our engagements across the region and across the network, connecting with counterparts from other regions for learnings and collaboration
  • Work closely with Global Marketing Services teams for cross-regional learnings for AP application
  • Partner closely with Visa internal teams, such as VMS and VCA, to drive collaboration opportunities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

As a candidate you should have

  • Minimum 10 years business experience in Marketing, Consultancy or Sales
  • Understanding of the Payments Industry and Ecosystem
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; you create visually clear, concise, and insightful work product and are comfortable presenting to groups and senior leaders
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; you’re comfortable creating sales narratives built on business data points
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, driven and resourceful, innovative and curious, positive and proactive – always looking for ways to do things better
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and quick to adapt to shifting priorities
  • A self-starter, comfortable with autonomy
  • Regional sensibilities and an empathetic outlook to work well with other markets and cultures around the world

What will also help

  • Strong internal stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style; able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Experience or knowledge of Marketing discipline
  • Experience in pitching / selling to clients
