Spreetail is seeking a Director of IT to lead and manage our IT Systems, Networking, Help Desk, and Security teams, ensuring robust infrastructure and high-quality service delivery. This role involves overseeing internal servers and networks, managing technology budgets and vendor relationships, and aligning IT strategies with company goals. The ideal candidate will foster a customer-centric culture, collaborate with key stakeholders, and drive continuous process improvement while cultivating a strong IT team.

How you will achieve success:

  • Lead the IT Systems team, managing internal servers and services, including identity management systems, financial systems servers, VDI environments, phone systems, employee endpoint health/configuration, and data protection. 
  • Oversee the IT Networking team, ensuring robust network connectivity, interconnectivity, and core routing for all Spreetail sites, including routers, switches, wireless access points, network cabling, internet contracts, VPN connectivity, and related monitoring. 
  • Manage the IT Help Desk team, covering IT Asset Management (ITAM), help desk response, employee technology issue resolution, meeting room technology, IT-related employee onboarding and offboarding, and employee technology satisfaction. 
  • Direct the IT Security team, responsible for security awareness training, monitoring and responding to security events, endpoint intrusion monitoring/detection, Managed Detection and Response (MDR) vendor management, vulnerability management, and more. 
  • Oversee and manage technology budgets and vendor relationships, tracking renewal dates, costs, negotiations, and usage patterns. Advise the business on optimizing software acquisition and distribution. 
  • Serve as the primary interface with key business stakeholders, particularly the People and Culture and Finance divisions, to identify, recommend, acquire, and drive the adoption of various technologies. 
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within IT, balancing responsiveness with operational rigor. Establish and monitor operational metrics to ensure high standards of service delivery. 
  • Develop and execute long-term IT strategies that align with company goals, integrating high-level business requirements into departmental roadmaps and adjusting strategies as company goals evolve. 
  • Continuously improve processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards, driving root cause analysis for defects and outages to enhance system reliability. 
  • Lead strategic planning and execution, prioritizing and delegating tasks, and exercising influence across the company to ensure IT supports business objectives. 
  • Cultivate a strong IT team by recruiting, training, and developing talent, and fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and growth. 
  • Drive process improvement and compliance, ensuring continuous review and enhancement of IT processes to maintain efficiency and high-quality service delivery. 

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Generally 10+ years progressive experience in IT or related fields. 
  • Proven experience managing multiple IT teams and collaborating with senior-level peers to drive enterprise-level initiatives. 
  • Strong technical foundation in enterprise IT, security, cloud, and networking. 
  • Extensive project management experience with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. 
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills. 
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and measures. 
  • Experience managing technology budgets and vendor relationships. 
  • Strong customer service skills, including strong emotional intelligence. 
  • Preferred experience: Experience with compliance standards such as PCI, SOC2, and NIST. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Amazon, ISC2). Experience managing resources in Amazon AWS.
