Director, Health & Medicare Marketing Compliance

Overview:

Serve as the primary Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance contact and the person primarily responsible for managing MediaAlpha’s compliance with Medicare and Under-65 Health marketing regulations. This role involves managing compliance documentation and submissions through the HPMS system and coordinating with CMS and partners as needed. The Director will lead a team dedicated to overseeing and monitoring all aspects of the Company’s Medicare marketing compliance program.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of compliance professionals.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
  • Oversee and monitor MediaAlpha’s Medicare marketing compliance program.
  • Collaborate with MediaAlpha’s legal and business teams and carrier and publisher partners to develop, maintain, and communicate compliance guidelines for Medicare and U65 Health marketing materials.
  • Supervise the review of marketing materials created by MediaAlpha’s internal business teams and publisher partners to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and carrier requirements.
  • Manage the submissions of Medicare and Under-65 Health marketing materials to carriers for approval, including reviewing and negotiating carrier comments and requested changes.
  • Work with business and development teams and publisher partners to revise materials to address carrier comments and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee submissions of approved Medicare marketing materials to HPMS and track opt-ins by carriers.
  • Work with MediaAlpha’s legal team to ensure that all marketing materials meet applicable regulatory requirements and are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Develop rapport and facilitate cooperation among MediaAlpha, carriers, and publisher partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Medicare marketing compliance matters and foster strong relationships with external regulatory bodies and partners.
  • Oversee audits of compliance with applicable regulations and MediaAlpha’s Code of Conduct by demand partners.
  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the compliance program.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Medicare marketing regulations and adjust the compliance program as necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • 8 -10 years in a senior compliance role, preferably within the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Deep understanding of CMS regulations and Medicare marketing compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (existing relationships with Medicare organization compliance teams a plus).
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement and manage complex compliance programs.

 

Compensation & Benefits
