Director, Global Communications

Manages a team of marketing communication specialists. Responsible for the design, planning, development and implementation of marketing communication programs to support the Corporate or product marketing strategies and branding programs. Accountable for achieving high return/impact on the marketing spend. Responsibilities of the team that manages may include: development of promotional material, collaterals, POP merchandising, ad campaigns, trade shows, development of advertising and promotional tools. Skilled in all areas of presenting and marketing products.

  • Establish goals and objectives across technical and business press that align with company mission, vision and values
  • Develop external and internal communication strategies for business announcements, product launches, and companywide programs, and oversee their execution across multiple channels.
  • Act as a primary spokesperson and engage with media outlets to secure positive coverage and manage the company's reputation. Respond to inquiries and deliver media and industry analyst briefings.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media, technical press, industry influencers, Solidigm executives and employees
  • Build and grow company spokespersons talent spanning executives and subject matter experts
  • Monitor perceptions and performance of comms channels and implement course corrections as needed
  • Think beyond traditional news opportunities such as launches and events to drive company objectives
  • Promptly identify and manage issues sensitive to the company’s good including crisis communications as warranted
  • Ensure brand and voice consistency across all external public communications
  • Lead budget and direct agency resources to deliver results aligned with business objectives.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for a high-performing team, monitoring progress and ensuring successful execution of outcomes
  • 10+ years in external and internal communications with significant technology sector PR experience. Past experience working at semiconductor, storage, or computing hardware companies is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering corporate communications strategies and creating impactful content and messaging.
  • Exceptional writer and editor who enjoys understanding technology and unpacking technical concepts.
  • Team-first leader with a high EQ; invested in others’ success.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experienced in issues management and crisis communication; able to operate with calm and instill trust.  
  • Highly attuned collaborator who enjoys working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to be agile and shift priorities as business needs dictate.
  • Track record of managing high-performing teams, vendors, and agencies.

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $149,430 to $274,730. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
