The Opportunity

Seeking a hands-on technology leader to manage the full lifecycle of software development for our flagship Digital Signage products, with a strong presence in the US as well as a global team.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing large, complex enterprise environments and leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that delight customers. Success requires a blend of technical strength and a strong desire to build, lead and grow talent. 

Key Responsibilities

Software Development 

  • Guide and coach engineering managers and lead teams to deliver consistently and on time, every time. 
  • Work with Product Managers to ensure roadmap commitments are clear, prioritized, and actionable. 
  • Lead architects to ensure products are designed for scale, efficiency, and future technology needs including AI. 
  • Understand and advocate for the voice of the customer within engineering teams and prioritize customer delight. 

Leadership  

  • Be a “force multiplier” – bring your authentic self, bring out the best in people, and build teams that strive to build amazing things together. 
  • Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and resilience.  
  • Establish key objectives/metrics to measure and improve performance.  
  • Actively identify and remove blockers, communicate changes effectively. 
  • Actively coach and mentor team members in their careers. 

Technical Skills / Competencies  

  • Proven success in managing software development teams responsible for building and operating a large-scale software systems. 
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.  
  • Experience with cross-platform development for desktop, mobile, web, or embedded environments.  
  • Strong knowledge of software development, infrastructure operations, and quality assurance practices and principles. 
  • Proven success in leading change through complex environments and structures. 
  • Ability to make smart, timely and data-driven decisions and balancing roadmap risk, operating expense and client value. 
  • Strong understanding of Operating Systems, Platforms, and Embedded Systems (Windows IoT, Linux (Ubuntu Core, Yocto Project), Android, Customer Firmware).
  • Proven knowledge with Hardware Technology including Displays, Media Players, Sensors and Edge Devices.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.   
  • Experience in multimedia, video streaming, or real-time content management a plus. 
  • Experience with real-time 3D rendering and performance optimization a plus. 

Education & Experience  

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field is required. 
  • 15+ years of engineering leadership experience with people management responsibilities. 
  • Experienced in effectively assessing, selecting and developing talent; adept at providing balanced, direct and actionable feedback to team members. Experience managing multiple priorities and overseeing distinct teams with varied strengths. 
  • Thrives on initiating, building and cultivating strong, authentic relationships inside and outside the team; highly collaborative; navigates and activates alignment across organizational boundaries. 

Compensation 

Annual base salary gross:   $175,000.00- $200,000.00 plus variable USD Annual. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Company's contemplated salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographic location. The salary is one component of Company's total compensation package for employees.
