Position Summary: 

The Director, Corporate Development will be responsible for driving communication with Quotient’s Board, Investors, and external partners. This role will drive high-priority, high-impact projects across the organization, partnering with scientific and business leaders to drive corporate development, business development, market/strategic analyses, and investor relations. The successful candidate will have scientific acumen, be deeply collaborative, an outstanding communicator, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to shape and execute the company's corporate development strategy
  • Support business development and alliance management, interfacing with key external audiences and managing our overall BD operations and calendar
  • Work to identify attractive government and philanthropic funding opportunities
  • Manage our board meeting process, defining content calendar and organizing inputs from stakeholders
  • Develop and refine company presentation materials, tailoring to multiple audiences
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with teams such as R&D, operations, finance, and legal
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, such as the marketing and communications teams, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding
  • Rapidly establish credibly, trust, and respect across the organization operating as a true strategic thought partner to the Quotient team
  • Lead with authenticity and a sense of urgency that inspires the team to communicate openly and thrive together

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD preferred, BS or other graduate degree in life sciences required.
  • Strong familiarity with the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and drug development landscape. Experience in Biopharma management consulting, investment banking, and/or Biotech startup highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate credibly and clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of communicating complex ideas in simple frameworks and developing compelling presentations or proposals
  • Curious, sharp business acumen, superior analytic and communication skills. Appropriately balance multiple priorities and work against tight timelines
  • Results-driven, high-performer with a highly collaborative style; able to influence and build consensus across all levels of the organization
  • Highly self-motivated with demonstrated agility to multitask, manage time, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure with limited oversight
