The Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Director or Senior Director, Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role will report into our Chief Customer & Administrative Officer and will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support on a wide range of matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks to the company.
This role can be 100% remote as long as the person is based in the US and willing to travel to our HQ in Boston(and possibly elsewhere) about 15-20%.
Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Draft, review and negotiate different types of contracts, including but not limited to, sales, vendor, employment contracts, etc. Ensure contracts align with companies strategic goals and comply with applicable laws

Legal Guidance: Provide strategic legal guidance and advice on healthcare regulations, compliance matters and similar. Help assist in interpreting complex healthcare regulations and laws including but not limited to, HIPPA. FDA, etc

Risk management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to help mitigate them and provide recommendations on general risk mitigation practices and policies

Corporate Governance: Support our corporate governance practices and general matters

Compliance & Regulatory: Develop and implement policies & procedure and experience preparing and submitting regulatory documents

Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage and coordinate with external counsel on litigation and assist in resolving any disputes or claims

Intellectual Property: Assist in protecting the company’s intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights

Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with the executive leadership team and others leaders within the organization

Market awareness and knowledge: Research and stay current on laws and regulations impacting the company’s operations and industry, providing proactive guidance to mitigate legal risks.
About You:
Must Haves
- Juris Doctor(J.D) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the state bar.
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience
- Proven track record of providing practical and strategic legal advice in a complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal principles clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
Nice To Haves:
- Experience with international legal matters and multi-jurisdictional issues.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a legal team.
- Familiarity with [specific software or tools relevant to the industry].
- Experience across the digital health, life sciences and/or healthcare industry in general

- The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $175,000-$210,000 range per year. This position will include an annual discretionary target bonus(based on performance) as well as equity. The final offer determined for the candidate who is hired for this position will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, labor market conditions, etc.
