The responsibilities of Director Finance and Controlling are:
- Oversee and manage the Division Finance & Controlling team, ensuring effective leadership and operational excellence.
- Provide strategic financial leadership at the regional level, aligning with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the integration of different parts of the Division into Umdasch Group’s accounting and reporting frameworks, ensuring seamless financial integration.
- Establish and implement KPIs for the team, aligned with business targets, driving accountability and results.
- Support the development and coaching of finance and controlling staff, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
- Drive the execution of Division strategy, with a particular emphasis on achieving financial objectives and long-term profitability.
- Ensure optimal business performance and sustainable profitability across all business units.
- Review internal processes, propose enhancements, and ensure compliance with corporate standards and procedures.
- Lead Division financial reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes (e.g., scenario planning).
- Act as a strategic business partner to the board, delivering financial analysis, highlighting variances, and developing business cases and scenarios.
- Prepare and present business cases for capital expenditures (CAPEX) and other key projects within the Division.
- Enhance controlling standards and optimize customer credit management processes within the Division.
- Collaborate closely with Umdasch Group's Finance & Controlling teams at HQ in Amstetten (Austria) to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, working closely with leadership to achieve global, regional, and local objectives.
- Serve as a role model, embodying and promoting the company’s strategy, values, leadership culture, and code of conduct.
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, and/or related disciplines
- Minimum of 5- 10 years' experience in a similar management role, demonstrating expertise in controlling, financial analysis, and business planning
- Profound knowledge of relevant financial and accounting standards
- Thorough commercial understanding and experience in the formwork, construction or building material industry, preferably with exposure to rental business models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills and ideally SAP FI and CO modules and/or Epicor/Quantify
- Receptive mindset and enthusiastic curiosity towards innovative AI tools and technologies
- Strong qualitative abilities, including analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills, along with effective problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey information concisely and clearly to various internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership skills, adept at managing diverse teams and delivering results
