ButterflyMX is hiring for a brand new role! The Director of Business Applications will be responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and integration of business applications across the organization. This role ensures that our business systems and applications are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and deliver maximum value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategy for business applications that supports the company’s strategic objectives and operational needs.
- System Integration: Ensure the integration and compatibility of various corporate systems, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business applications.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify and help the company select the best tool(s) for addressing a given company challenge.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring products meet internal and external customer needs and business goals.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application managers, analysts, and developers.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers to ensure the best solutions and support for the company.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Innovation: Drive innovation by fostering a creative and collaborative environment, encouraging new ideas and approaches.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of business applications.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain ongoing quality assurance processes to ensure systems continue to perform and to catch issues as they happen.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for business applications, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that all business applications comply with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding data security and privacy.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in software/IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing business applications.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of enterprise business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), cloud solutions, and software development methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Project Management: Experience managing large-scale projects using project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or similar are a plus.
