Team Introduction:
Member engineering team at Coupang are looking for a senior manager leading the next generation of Member / Tokenization / User authentication area. This team provides 1) Member/Auth platform for 400M+ user, 2) SSO for vertical services not only e-commerce but also Coupang Eats and Coupang Play. Team guarantees the reliable platform even during the fast business growth in all vertical services, also advanced to Taiwan beyond Korea. Therefore, we’re reaching to the true global member platform with reliability and scalability. We work very closely with engineering based out of Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
· Tech leader for agile team throughout the software development lifecycle
· Collaboration with product owners, stakeholders and designers to implement enhancements or new applications
· Work on cross-cutting projects to independently scale authentication services.
· Implement new and maintain existing authentication flows and management interfaces.
· Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality/time to market imperatives;
· Share technical direction, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews to encourage the growth of others.
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, system and network security.
· Hands-on experience with Java, Go, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent language.
· Comprehensive experiences on data structure and algorithm.
· Excellent communication skills with English.
· Strong problem solving skills.
· Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with frequent and on-time
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
· Experience with authentication and access control infrastructure.
· Expert understanding of common authentication/authorization practices, user directory systems.
· Experience with service-oriented architectures and web services security
· Experiences with handling large data and databases and handling data consistency which is placed different database.
· Comfortable in delivering large ambitious projects using iterative deliverables
