The Art Director is a brand expert with an in-depth understanding of digital and IRL content creation, who’s able to develop conceptual ideation and deliver a captivating visual message. This role will own the TRR brand across various channels - site, email, in-store, social, events, and internally. The ideal candidate will have experience in luxury fashion, strong digital experience, an analytical mind and a passion for good design. Must be a strong leader; a strong and compelling communicator; able to juggle and prioritize multiple demands from various departments; and push the brand forward. This position reports into the Chief Creative Officer and manages the Design team.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Oversee all aspects of visual design and art direction - from content creation to execution, while collaborating across Editorial, Studio, Merchandising, Marketing and Product teams, ensuring all deadlines are met. 
  • Collaborate with Editorial, Merchant, and Marketing Teams on fresh ways to tell our brand story across multiple channels, in a manner that is on brand and innovative. 
  • Generate & execute creative ideas for communicating our brand across home page, category pages, landing pages, and more. Integrate them in-store.  
  • Oversee imagery and design approval of assets
  • Provide art direction for in-house shoots  
  • Produce content with the user journey in mind, with an understanding of responsive wireframes and mobile-first design.
  • Inspire and lead the Design team

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+  years in a fashion, e-commerce, publishing/media or retail environment
  • 3+ years managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Expert understanding of art direction, layout, color, typography
  • High level of proficiency across Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
  • Ability to work quickly, while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
  • Constantly innovating and developing new ideas to push the site forward, while developing your team’s ability to do the same
  • A strong understanding and passion for the luxury e-commerce field
  • Travel between NJ and NY Offices (as needed)
  • Passion for staying current with trends and editorials in the luxury sector
  • Extensive knowledge and the ability to quickly identify luxury designers
  • Knowledge of all product categories including women’s, men’s, fine jewelry, kids and home & art is a plus
  • Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment juggling multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Creative and sharp eye for visuals
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work hybrid from NYC, NY
  • Ability to Travel 10%

Preferred Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in digital design is preferred

The expected salary range for this role is $177,953.00 - $214,079.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
