The Role

As the Director of AI Product, you will lead our AI product team, accountable for defining and executing our AI product strategy. You will oversee the development and delivery of product roadmaps, performance metrics, and continuous innovation.

This senior leadership role involves managing a team of approximately 25 highly skilled Product Managers and working closely with Data Scientists and Engineers in cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Group Executive of Artificial Intelligence and sitting on the AI and Analytics Leadership team, you will be based in Melbourne or Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Own the ongoing development and communication of a clear AI product strategy, outlining how SEEK will leverage its unique data assets and the latest AI capability to solve core customer needs.
  • Prioritisation and Alignment: Lead and own the AI product roadmap, manage an effective OKR process to align teams with the product strategy, and work closely with front-end experience product teams to deliver customer value, including defining clear product requirements and SLAs.
  • Product Ownership: Ensure strong product ownership within the AI product team, including clear product metrics that are owned, monitored, and acted upon to ensure continuous improvement and product innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage senior stakeholder relationships and provide a clear product vision and regular reporting of progress and product performance in the market, including presentations to the AI and Analytics Leadership team, SEEK Product Leadership team, key executives, and the entire SEEK team.
  • Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing team and operating model that drives strong product ownership and delivery at pace.

The Team

You will lead a team of high-performing AI Product Managers with strong backgrounds in product management and strategy.

As part of the AI and Analytics Leadership team, you will work alongside leading AI and Analytics experts and play a key role in leading the broader AI and Analytics team at SEEK, which consists of approximately 250 experts in data science, engineering, and analytics.

  • Proven track record of developing and communicating a clear strategy, distilling complex concepts into simple, clear frameworks and guidance
  • Have either worked extensively on AI and has a product background or has an extensive strategy background solving real world problems
  • Extensive experience in leading product teams at scale to deliver customer outcomes
  • Commercial acumen and a sound grasp of mathematics and analytical concepts, including the ability to break down product and commercial performance into clear drivers and present insights effectively
  • High learning orientation, with an interest in the latest AI concepts and the ability to stay current with industry trends in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience with online marketplace strategy and/or product development.
  • Previous experience in strategy or management consulting.
  • Experience in running product roadmaps, OKR processes, and PRDs.
