Fingerpaint Marketing is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Operations Director to join our Activation team. This role will support the Media, Analytics, and Applied AI teams, reporting to the Media Lead while working closely with the Analytics and Applied AI department leads. The Operations Director will oversee process implementation, partner relationships, project management, fiscal monitoring, and operational optimization to drive team efficiency and business success.
Key Responsibilities:
Process & Project Management:
- Lead the implementation of operational processes across Media, Analytics, and Applied AI teams.
- Develop and maintain RACIs (Responsibility Assignment Matrices) to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities within all projects.
- Maintain up-to-date status tracking for various workstreams, identifying risks and bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to standardize sales decks, pricing models, and packaging for existing and new service offerings.
- Oversee key projects such as MediaOcean integration, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
Media & Partner Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Media team to manage relationships with media partners, ensuring efficient workflows, timely communication, and streamlined coordination.
- Support the Social team in managing tools and reporting compliance, ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist in developing and distributing Points of View (POVs) on media and industry trends, innovations, and strategy.
Analytics & AI Support:
- Manage resource allocation and tasking for the Analytics team to align resources with project needs.
- In partnership with Director of Data Governance and Stewardship, administer and manage licenses for AI tools, ensuring compliance and effective utilization across the agency.
- Track and manage the training and adoption of AI and analytics tools, identifying opportunities for growth and development across the agency.
Fiscal Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor group utilization rates, identifying areas for optimization to maintain operational margins in partnership with department leads. Collaborate with leadership to optimize project margins through resource allocation and operational improvements.
- Provide regular reports on fiscal health, staff utilization, and operational efficiency.
Collaboration with Governance & Legal:
- Partner with the Director of Data Governance and Stewardship to ensure compliance with data processes and documentation standards.
- Work closely with Legal to manage contract sign-offs, track Third-Party Agreement (TPA) initiation and renewals, and ensure compliance with agency and partner standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or a related field within a marketing or advertising agency.
- Strong understanding of media, analytics, and AI practices in a digital marketing environment.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, fiscal reporting, and operational optimization.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with tools like MediaOcean, analytics software, and AI platforms preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, legal compliance, and contract management processes.
- Ability to lead complex projects, prioritize tasks, and drive operational excellence.
