Digital/Web Data Analyst

We are looking for a Digital Data Analyst to join the team and support the planning and development of advanced web analytics tracking for our Core Verisk web platform, platform products and other reporting and dashboard tasks related to our global insurance clients. 

The ideal candidate for this role has experience making scalable and standardized tracking decisions across multiple ecommerce platforms that ultimately power data collected in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Domo, and more. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Implement & Manage Digital Tracking – Deliver tracking capabilities through the entire suite of Verisk Core digital platforms to provide detailed measurement of performance, data collection, and insights, to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tag Management Expert – Act as the subject matter expert for all things tag management, with a demonstrated ability to personally manage complex, custom tagging setup across multiple ecommerce platforms, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and fidelity in measurement.
  • Serve as Data Layer Owner – in partnership with the internal development team, own the roadmap, testing, and further customization of the company’s proprietary data layer to deliver improved tracking capabilities across our client base.
  • Collaboration– support the digital product owners on how to conceptualize and implement tracking capabilities that align with business strategy and goals, mentor and grow their understanding, and ensure the team’s knowledge stays ahead of the latest in tracking and measurement capabilities.
  • Be a Trusted Partner – Own relationships with our business clients to showcase the value of the company’s tracking capabilities, train users to access and derive insights from their custom reporting, implement custom requests, investigate and troubleshoot issues or inconsistencies, and manage professional service engagements that help deliver our Clients’ performance goals.

Change Management area:

  • Create and maintain necessary documentation related to processes, content, and guidelines. 
  • Partner with other product owners and platform leads to ensure seamless integration into the Core platform. 
  • Several years of experience in a web analytics role, with emphasis on the use of tagging across ecommerce/B2B platforms  
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics configuration settings and functional options, with the ability to translate technical platform-specific knowledge to stakeholders 
  • Data governance knowledge and ability to create processes to accurately onboard clients to standard tracking configurations
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly articulate data-informed insights & recommendations, keeping customer and business impacts as a focus 
  • Sharp attention to detail and a drive for practical solutions that balance effort and result.
  • Experience with survey, cookie consent, and feedback platforms like Medallia, Optimizely, Tealium. 
  • Strong conceptual design skills that translate user and business needs into successful digital experiences 
  • Demonstrated experience in working successfully in large, complex, organizations, balancing multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously.
